Boring plodding character arc.
This episode of "The Silo" was a huge letdown. The story was so boring and predictable that I could guess what would happen next. The characters were dull and stereotypical, and I felt no connection or empathy with them. The lead sheriff was especially nonsensical jumping from emotion to emotion her boring backstory that added nothing to the plot. The editing was terrible, with the silo being so dark that I could barely see anything. It was a frustrating and unsatisfying experience to watch this episode.
I do not recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quality TV show with a good story and engaging characters.
This is a skippable filler episode and really worrying for the future of the series.
I hope the sheriff isnt the main character, thrusting an unknown actress into the place of well known and experienced actors is a bait and switch.

This episode was very good and totally moved the plot along. Is it a fast show? No. But it wasn't "fast paced" from the start. The first two episodes were the set up which always seem faster because you're getting to know the universe. The third episode, to me was a little unnecessary. I don't know why they needed to spend like 40 minutes on mechanical repair. I guess it's to establish the Juliet character and show her resolve, which arguably could have been done in less time. But this episode was great. I guess these negative reviewers never heard of character development. The flashbacks were very well done and helped you understand Juliet as a character. Overall this show is incredibly well written and intriguing. And who ever calls Rebecca Ferguson a "no name" must live under a rock. She was in the Mission Impossibles and Doctor Sleep just to name two. She's a very talented actor who does a supurb job here.
After the nice worldbuilding of the pilot, this series seems to have settled into a moderately okay 7/10 range. Good enough to keep me watching, but it definitely reminds me of the just-okay sci fi series I used to see on cable, and not nearly as good as Apple's other genre series - Severance and For All Mankind. Or as out-there as Foundation. I guess I'm spoiled.
Juliette's backstory is nothing special and the guy who plays her father can't act or do anything close to an American accent (why are they making these poor actors fake accents they can't handle?) The crusty old broad in the machine shop is fun. The in-your-face caste system where everyone looks down on people at the lower level is too hokey.
The beer kinda threw me. Do they have a beer bottling plant on the premises? Okay they could be growing hops and brewing beer. They could carefully save and reuse all the bottles, or even manufacture new ones from recycled glass. Okay it gets a pass, they have beer.
Cmon folks, let's take a walk outside and see what's really going on! I miss Rashida Jones' Allison. She should have been the main character. Of course she's still alive and probably eating hot fudge sundaes at the amusement park right over that hill. Suckers.

Losing interest rapidly. Ferguson is an absolute queen but even that isn't enough to sustain interest when the plotting is so glacial and the dialogue so tedious. Does Apple think it has discovered a new, superior way of lighting TV shows because I have news for them - they haven't. This and Succession are so dark at times you may as well just listen to it and switch off the visuals. There are literally scenes where 90% of the screen is total blackness. Which idiot thought that was a good idea and did they used to work in radio?
I like the premise but the characters are just not compelling enough to overcome a plot that is barely offering any interest at all. I'll give it one more episode and then unless things change, I'm out.

First episode was amazing and pulled me right in, didn't waste a single moment to show something exciting. After watching this last episode I feel like I am watching totally different show.
What happened? A whole episode of nothing. So slow and meaningless made me skip a few scenes in order not to fall asleep.
I hope book is better because I will probably drop this if it doesn't pick up again.
Rebecca Ferguson can't carry this show and it seems like she isn't even trying at this point. I can't believe hot much worse this show is getting one episode after another.
Every scene is a slog, we can see from a mile away that Judicial is evil and that local law enforcement has no idea etc, no need to repeat same tropes every episode, so predictable and boring drivel.
