Mei Ren Yu

What is the idea behind all this? People spend time and money to make such a dumb film. Had to turned it off after 10mins of torture. What a waste of my time.

This is the most drawn out and tedious rubbish, WHAT A DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.... A waste of time. A monotonous plot and the bland acting. This is what chinese show has come to.

I made a account just to review this movie because of how much I enjoyed it. I thought the story was compelling and liked the simplistic nature of the lore they set as it made it an easy watch. I thought the main couple was cute, and the ending almost made me cry which I can't say for a lot of movies.

I would rate it 10 stars but it definitely had quite a few predictable elements, and there were a lot of times where you had to infer the characters emotions and they could have been explored better. Finally personally I would have liked to see a bit more of the mermaid side characters since they seemed to have important relationships to the main character xiaoyu (but that might just be me).

Overall a cute movie with more to be desired but a fun watch that I could see myself coming back to. If you like mermaid, cute romances, and dramas I would recommend (also bonus loved that it didn't hold back on the mermaid ascpect as I see so many mermaid movies do)

First of all, for all of you who decided to slam this movie, u are sad. This movie was quite literally a masterpiece. The plot, the characters, even the cgi, was perfection. It was not boring, it was interesting and quite romantic. The ending was sad and makes the audience want more !! #bringoutpart2

I believe that this movie does not deserve the hate and that it should be praised for the masterpiece it is. If you think this movie is bad, then youre just sad. Go watch Cars 2, you disney watchers. You all are 12 and I would like to see you make a movie better than this one; oh wait u cant.

This movie is such a pandemic . Movie was so boring, no story line character are lame action scenes are not even good. This is an unwatchable exposition dump with the 2 years old humor and CGI.
