An Angry Boy

Grab your popcorn and hold onto your seat. I jumped a few times throughout this movie! Climax building movie with a few twists and turns. It's been a long time since I've watched a good horror flick that kept me mesmerized and excited to see what would happen next. Would love to see it again on the big screen with theater sound. The story builds thru the first 20 minutes or so then it all starts coming together for the climax. WOW...what a climax. Eric Roberts was epic! Hold onto your seat for the ending! I watched the ending several times. All of the cast members were outstanding in their parts.

Our friends at Scary Mysteries love sharing chilling stories, and "An Angry Boy" definitely delivers as they cross over into filmmaking. This independent film punches above its weight, offering a gritty exploration of trauma, revenge, and the lingering shadows of the past.

"An Angry Boy" feels packed with potential. The film tackles complex themes like childhood abuse and cult indoctrination, but it feels like there's so much more to explore. The world-building around the cult and Owen's past is particularly intriguing. I couldn't help but think this story would be perfectly suited for a television series format.

The film feels like the tip of a terrifying iceberg. A longer format would allow for a deeper dive into Owen's psyche, the workings of the cult, and the motivations of the characters.

So, is "An Angry Boy" worth a watch? Absolutely. It's a brilliantly crafted thriller with a powerful central performance. But for those who crave a deeper dive, a television series based on this film could be pure nightmare-inducing gold.

I've been a fan of Andrew Fitzgerald's YouTube channel (Scary Mysteries) for close to a decade now so naturally I wanted to see this movie. I thought this movie might be good but to be honest, I didn't expect it to be as good as it was when I watched it on Tubi a couple weeks back.

The story was good, the acting was well done (especially the two boys and the villain) and some shocking intense moments that I didn't see coming, like the Eric Roberts twist.

This was one of the better horror/thriller movies I've seen in a while. How this film is rated so low on here, beats the hell out of me.

The film looks spectacular, the acting is excellent and it keeps you in your seat! Low budget thrillers this good are hard to find, so if you're on the fence hopefully this review will help.

Through clever framing and lighting, the film creates a palpable sense of tension and unease, effectively drawing viewers into its world of suspense. The visual storytelling elevates the overall experience.

The cult elements and the small town intrigue later in the story are gripping. If revenge thrillers are your thing you shouldn't miss this one. I'd love to see a prequel about Mr Robers character, something for the filmmakers to consider?

An Angry Boy a psychological thriller. Based on true events makes this movie more eerie. The cast is perfect for this movie. Scott Callenberger, Caleb Lowery, Thomas Cambridge, Lauren McCann, Laura Frenzer, Logan Keeler, and Eric Roberts. Getting Eric Roberts in the movie was a great achievement and well worth it. I liked how the movie sets itself up for a possible sequel. It's that kind of movie that stays with you after watching it. I liked the chemistry between the characters, very authentic. What also amazed me is how the film looked. It captures an 80's era which I thought was awesome. Way to go Kevin Provost, Cinematographer. And lastly we can not forget Andrew Fitzgerald for creating this story and directing this cast in a way that makes your skin crawl. Very well done. I applaud you!
