Sommeil blanc

G.J.ARNAUD was a rather famous fantasy and horror writer ,whose stories were often adapted as comic strips in the sixties/seventies .It seems he fell into oblivion since so it's nice to read his name in the credits of a movie:one should remark that his original title "Enfantasme" (pun made of "child" and "phantasm") is much better than the title of the movie (White sleep).

A woman has lost her only child and cannot get over it.One day ,a teenager comes to her isolated house near a beautiful lake ;he might be a runaway from a reform school ;but didn't those boys get drowned in the lake? So who might he be?Nobody sees him but her.Her husband wants to move but she is not in a hurry to leave this place ,on the contrary she is attracted by something that eludes her.

An offbeat work ,a bit déjà vu ,but if it urged the screenwriters to look on Arnaud's side,the director would not have been wasting time.
