Scooby Doo where are you? Not here.. not here. Not a documentary. More like a really long and boring YouTube video trying to be funny with tongue in cheek self awareness but over does it to the point of being lazy. This thing, whatever it is trying to be, is a waste of time. You can just tell most of it is stalling for time. I am getting they were just too cheap to do a real documentary so they hired an attractive host and had her talk to cartoons for an hour or so. Seriously, this thing pi$$ed me off so bad given the legacy of the Scooby Doo franchise. It would have been a nice thing to learn a thing or two.
In this special, you see a lot of guest appearances by some of the most iconic characters in animated history, not to mention interviews with historians, directors, and even cast members, including the voice actors of our favorite characters. The only critique I have is all of the random extras and cheap ghost costume included in this, I could've done without them.
The gang are cartoon characters and they are actors in the real world. Actress Janel Parrish hosts a recollection of the iconic franchise. I don't think that she's the best person for the job but this is a very hard job interacting with cartoon characters. It's good to add Mary Lynn Rajskub into the mix. She has much more comedic skills. I do like the history of Scooby-Doo. I love the designing of Scooby. I like some of the Scooby compatriots although there are a couple that I don't recognize. This is not necessarily aimed at the younger new fans. It's probably aimed at the older fans. There is more stuff for them.
I'm 62 now. I remember watching the original series as a kid. I liked watching this review, along with the memories it brought back. It amuses me seeing today's generations keeping it going. It also tickles me seeing cosplay portrayals of Velma as a sexy chick!

- TriviaThis marks the first time the Scooby Doo gang appear as real hand drawn animated characters in a live action setting. Not counting the 2003 film Les Looney Tunes passent à l'action (2003) where only Shaggy and Scooby had cameos in a live action animated feature film with the Looney Tunes.

Fred Jones: Well, here we are. Warner Bros. studios, home of Hanna-Barbera.
Daphne Blake: They've shot so many great reunion specials here. Now we get to have our own reunion special!
Velma Dinkley: But how is it a reunion if we haven't spent a day apart in 52 years?
