And the film becomes much better. The music and dialogue are the best part of this poorly made mess.

I am always suspicious of any film where the lead actor and director are the same person. I had hopes for this film, but the opening scenes look like they were shot with a poor quality IPhone. The witch lying on the ground waves goodbye to the couple and their nephews (why not kids?) as they drive away. I should have taken the hint, but alas, I stayed.

The film never explains why this seemingly nice group of people should suffer such a horrible fate from the evil witch and her owl? Monster. Usually horror films give payback to low-life deadbeats guilty of some heinous crime. Here the only ones that deserved a terrible end are the writer, director, and lead actor -all one in the same.
