Remastered Game of the Year Edition: My friend has been bugging me to play this franchise of games so here I am, coop and all. Got to say, not bad at all. The story is a little weak. I enjoy the premise of a planet people go to to find this secret vault, but they don't really elaborate too much in this game. You kill lots of guys, endless variations of weapons to pick up, (which is annoying at times tbh) driving like an A-hole, and of course, doing missions for sketchy folk. Speaking for the dlc, I enjoyed most of it. One I didn't find too good was Mad Moxie's Underdome. Didn't really have a purpose or story to it.

In all, I'm not disappointed. I had somewhat low expectations, and they did surpass them, but not by much. I wish there was more to this thing; a lot of the missions seem unimportant, and really, all of the main missions feel like side missions. I did like a lot of the jokes throughout, and specifically enjoyed Scooter. "My mamas ladyparts". Can't wait to dive into these sequels.

    Guns, gore, fun!

This game is amazing! Sure I did get tired of the repetitive side quests, however the shooting makes up for that. It is so much fun! Play this game, it is my favorite in the series.

    My Childhood Staring Back

I have weird memories of this game. I got a platinum trophy on my PS3 because I played the hell out of it. I have found memories but now that I have returned to it, I'm just staring at the screen, asking why did I think this was fun?

Shooting feel just bad but at least they have some gory effects. Every shooting game has numbers behind it, but when they show it, it just stops being satisfying and becomes a number's game. Now it is about getting the best gun to shooting the best bullets, but it's all luck based if you get the big bad gun.

It can does work, I remember the last borderlands game has some really fun guns. The weapons are simple with not too many gimmicks. Before or later they feel the same with small differences.

It has character I kinda enjoyed the humor and npc feel so destroyed mentally, but not over the Top So it's bearable. But it just can keep the feeling of emptiness away when playing it.

When I play the as a child, it was a game that was different, with colorful characters and 100000 different guns, but now as an adult, I need more in my games than that.

Great Start to a (mostly) decent franchise

Let me start this off by saying I'm a massive borderlands fan, I played a little bit of the second game at my cousins house and I immediately bought the pandoras box collection for my Nintendo Switch (yeah yeah I didn't play it on an Xbox or Playstation but I can't afford much). It was a ridiculously good deal at 30 bucks for all six games not including Wonderlands. Now I played this first of course, and despite hearing mixed signals about this game, it's an absolute blast. I played by myself the whole game, and it was the most fun start to a video game franchise ever. A lot of people judge it for not having a good story or good gameplay, but I actually love the gameplay, and yeah the story is meh but still this game started it all. You get to pick between four vault hunters to play as. This game has cool gunplay and the enemies are unique enemies instead of typical thugs. I absolutely recommend getting this game for whatever game device you have if you have one. If you're a fan of fun story first-person looter shooters, than this game and the franchise as a whole is damn perfect for the people that love that kind of stuff. Overall this game is great and it's the second best of the franchise, and then a couple years after this a masterpiece of a sequel came out.

There Ain't No Rest For The Wicked.

Just listening to this song define what Borderlands is about. This game has some dark and dry element to it which makes it feels like you're really are in a wasteland. All brown and gray, dry and bland, atmospheric, very cartoonish, and shiny meat bicycle. The humor in this game is the charm of this game and will go along time in the series.

    • Trivia
The game originally had a darker, more serious tone, akin to "Road Warrior meets Firefly." After the art style was changed to its final cel-shaded "rockabilly" look, the game story was changed and the dialog re-recorded to better fit it. This also freed the design team to create more zany characters, maps and missions that fit with the new style. These changes all were made during the last 10 months of development.

Scooter: That Catch-A-Ride station is more busted than my momma's girly parts. I'd appreciate you taking a poke at that.

Scooter: [brief pause] Uh, I mean the Catch-A-Ride, not my mom.

Scooter: [chuckles] Hot dog down a skag den, you know what I mean?
