It's not like a typical Swiss series - and at the same time it's very Swiss indeed! Tachugger doesn't try to serve local stereotypes and also doesn't try to hide that this short series is from Switzerland. Just very refreshing with natural dialogues. I am sure this one could also be an international success in near future (of course some banters and local references are hard to translate)
After a long time back and forth, I (a Swiss) let myself be persuaded for the first time to watch a Swiss series production. Still a bit skeptical, I started the first episode and had to admit after 2 minutes that this series is terrific.
I haven't seen the season finale yet, but I'm convinced that it won't disappoint me.

Tschugger is the best Swiss TV show that I have ever seen. Which might also be due to the fact that I have never seen any other Swiss shows before.
But seriously, it's a very good show.
A lovely mix of crime and comedy, shot and edited in a unique manner. It's not very complicated or deep, but it is a lot of fun.
The actors are all very good and there are some really great characters in this show. My personal favourite is "Smetterling" the nerdy police apprentice.
"Tschugger" is at it's best, whent it makes fun of itself and the characters, which is most of the time. The more serious parts can be a bit cliché, but it is definitely a show worth watching in my opinion.
The story is finished after season two, the episodes are about 25 minutes in length. I wouldn't mind seeing more from the creators of this show, I will definitely keep an eye out.

This series is fast-paced and incredibly funny. It takes a lot for me to find something really funny. In addition, of course, there is the Valais dialect, which gives the series additional charm. And yes, the subtitles are sometimes necessary, because it's all very fast and those who aren't really used to the Valais German will have trouble. I never would have thought that Switzerland could pull off such a series. You can hardly breathe, it's so packed and the story with all its surprises is super coherent, sometimes morbid, macabre, but hilarious and it doesn't get boring for a second. Maybe the series will be dubbed into other languages (German!), although of course something will be lost then, the Valais language is such a hit. The actors are simply stunning, top performance! Hey Switzerland: Great job!
Such a lovely piece of series from the swiss valley of wallis. The actors are amateurs. The plot and the setting are so much fun. I want to see more of that!!!
And i'm pretty sure even you don't understand all the small valais stereotypes of corruption, strange language... even without insider knowledge theres a lot to laugh about.
Very stylish settings meet strange humour meets trash police stuff.
