Eye opening revelation of horrifying past

The film is an eye opener of the horrifying buried past of Modern Indian history at the time of independence and correlates very well as in making sense with current state of present West Bengal, miserably deteriorated from once called the state that bought Renaissance to Indian history.

It brings to limelight respect worthy and notable obliviated fighters such as Gopal Mukherjee. It is a must watch movie for people of all age groups to enrich patriotism and deepen connection with the historical past of the country so that all as a collective can make responsible decisions towards a fair and sound future of the country.

Direction and storytelling is nothing exaggerated to create a bias.

Probably the Best film of 2025

The Bengal Files is a soul shattering movie, this isn't just a movie, it's the truth and a sad one, It shows you what really happened and it doesn't hold back

The acting is unbelievable (from almost every actor), you will feel every bit of pain and anger, It's a tough watch, but it's very important, Only negative thing is it's length but it still engages you till the end.

Hard hitting , difficult to watch

I am still shaking after watching it . The movie is almost flawless and is above its predecessor Kashmir files on technical aspect .

Production design , music, even the small slogans are so well placed in movie .

Most of actors did good job . Pallavi Joshi was brilliant but her Bengali accent wasn't convincing. Perhaps the only little blemish but it can be ignored .

    Wonderful history telling

An eye opening depiction of real life events unfolded at the eve of independence day of India that was purposefully forgot by the future politicians of India. Nice direction and acting that's backed by a well researched and detailed informative work by the team. Must watch movie in cinemas to feel the real incidents.

    • Trivia
When Vivek Agnihotri went to America in March-April, for the first time, he started the film's networking and marketing because he wanted to do shows there. As soon as he delivered his first speech in New Jersey, there were a lot of people. He announced that his film, The Delhi Files: Bengal Chapter, was coming. Many of them came to him and asked if the film was based on the Sikh riots or the Delhi riots. He realized that there had been a massive communication problem. After asking for feedback from the audience, he finalized the title The Bengal Files.
