Outer Banks season 4 part 2 picks up immediately after episode 5, “Albatross,” when Luke Maybank (Gary Weeks) reveals to JJ that he’s the son of Larissa Genrette (Tommi Rose) and Chandler Groff (J. Anthony Crane).
JJ still doesn't believe that he's the son of Larissa and Groff.
In the first scene of Outer Banks season 4 episode 6, “The Town Council,” we get a flashback to baby JJ. Luke helps soothe JJ while Larissa struggles with her relationship with her husband. Luke grows close with Larissa before Groff reveals she’s not doing well. Groff brings JJ to Luke’s house to give his parents a break.
Groff pays Luke to take JJ behind Larissa’s back, which is a bit strange, right? Like, it’s straight kidnapping. Larissa reportedly drowns with her son, which is not true because obviously Luke has JJ. Groff convinces Luke to keep JJ without telling the Genrettes that he’s alive.

Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from Outer Banks season 4, part 1.
Outer Banks season 4, part 1 introduces many new characters, like Larissa Genrette, who is never physically seen (outside of her portrait) but still significantly impacts the story. Season 4 jumps ahead 18 months after the events of the Outer Banks season 3 finale, aka when the Pogues found El Dorado. The six teens John B, Sarah, Pope, Kiara, JJ, and Cleo use their newfound fortune to build a business and a home for themselves. Unfortunately, their happiness (and riches) doesn't last forever, and they return to treasure hunting to make ends meet, which is where the Genrettes come in.
As teased during the flashforward in the Outer Banks season 3 finale, a man named Wes Genrette approaches the Pogues with a proposition to find Blackbeard's treasure. They ultimately take the old man up on his offer to acquire the amulet in exchange for $50,000. However,...

Outer Banks never fails to deliver shocker after shocker for its main characters and Part One of season four was no different.
The final moments of episode five, “Albatross,” delivered blows to Rudy Pankow’s JJ, Jonathan Daviss’ Pope, Madelyn Cline’s Sarah, Chase Stokes’ John B and the rest of the crew in one form or another.

Fellow Outer Banks fans, how are we doing after watching the first five episodes of Outer Banks season 4? If you're already reading this, that means you binge-watched part 1, and I really can't blame you. We've been waiting so long for the return of the thrilling Netflix series, and now it's finally back. And it brought with it some big surprises. Spoilers From Episodes 1-5 Below.

The major cliffhanger Outer Banks season 4 episode 5, "Albatross" left us with is the fact that JJ grew up with parents who aren't really his biological parents. That's right. His lineage was revealed in the final moments of the episode by his dad, Luke. JJ's biological parents are Larissa Genrette and Charles Groff. This makes Wes Genrette, who hired the Pogues to find the amulet, JJ's grandfather.

The Pogues may have found the mythical, lost city of El Dorado, but they are far from done treasure hunting.
“Outer Banks” season 4 catches up with the crew as they embark on their next adventure to find Blackbeard’s treasure. The end of the fifth episode (and the finale of the first part of Season 4) ends with two cliffhangers. Pope and Sarah Cameron are stuck in a flooding church basement, at arm’s length of a potential treasure clue, while JJ just learned the truth about who his dad really is — or isn’t, rather.
Unlike the last three seasons, OBX4 will be released in two parts. This is part of a growing trend for Netflix hits. “Bridgerton,” “Ozark” and “Stranger Things” were just a few of the streamer’s recent series with staggered releases – an attempt to keep fans hooked on the project for more than just a binge.

After the major cliffhanger we were left with in episode 4, Outer Banks season 4 episode 5, "Albatross," gives us an answer as to what happens with the Pogues when Shoupe shows up and they have Terrance's dead body lying in their living room. Yeah, not a good look. Here's our review of the episode of the Netflix series. Spoilers Below.

Alright, so Shoupe shows up to Poguelandia 2.0 looking for JJ after the parents of the Kooks at the beach saw the video of him threatening to kill them all. They just want an excuse to take down the Pogues. Rude. The one problem is that Terrance's body is still there, and they end up having to hide him behind the couch right where Shoupe and JJ go to talk. Oh my goodness. Definitely a heart-racing moment for them and us!

It all comes down to this! Only one episode of Outer Banks season 4 part 1 left, and it’s a good one.
In the last few minutes of season 4 episode 4, Sheriff Shoupe (Callum Moss) shows up at the house to talk to JJ (Rudy Pankow). John B (Chase Stokes) was trying to decide what to do. Luckily, he makes a good decision!
Shoupe doesn’t find Terrance’s body, but he knows JJ is lying about Wes
In Outer Banks season 4 episode 5, “Albatross,” Shoupe questions JJ about the situation at the Break when JJ threatened the Kooks after Ruthie tried to run them over. Then, Shoupe asks JJ about what happened at the hyperbaric chamber.
Shoupe shows JJ some photos of the dead guy that turned up on the beach. JJ denies knowing the dead guy, which is true. Then, Shoupe asks JJ where they were on Saturday night, the night Wes Genrette (David Jensen) died.

The Outer Banks season 4 part 1 ending is definitely a big cliffhanger! Well, there are a few big cliffhangers actually in Outer Banks season 4 episode 5, "Albatross."
For most of the season, the Pogues were just interested in paying off their property taxes. After JJ gambled away the last of the money from the El Dorado gold, the Pogues were in a rough spot, and Wes Genrette (David Jensen), who we met at the end of Outer Banks season 3, threw the Pogues a lifeline.
In exchange for finding the amulet that belonged to Elizabeth Teach, the wife of Blackbeard, in Blackbeard's wrecked ship, Wes would give the Pogues $50K, more than enough to cover the cost of the taxes and get the business back up and running.
The plan was going so well until it hit a snag! Another group, a violent one, was also looking for the amulet, which holds clues...

“I have got some questions/Filed with discontent,” Cola singer-guitarist Tim Darcy informs us on the Montreal post-punk band’s second album. Cola have their own fun little take on modern alienation. Laying bright, bracing guitars over taut, tetchy, minimalist drums and bass, their sound brings to mind Wire and the very earliest Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen. Yet where those bands had the decaying post-industrial England of the 1970s as a backdrop, Cola are products of our own more ambiently dehumanized times. “I’m a fragrant kind of shadow,...

The Rembrandts’ ‘I’ll Be There For You’ may be one of the world’s most instantly familiar TV theme tunes, but its success split up the band, amid fears they’d lost everything about them that was cool.
Danny Wilde, one half of the alt-rock duo, told the UK’s Guardian newspaper that the band were initially asked to record a 43-second version of the song for the pilot of Friends – something with the same tempo as R.E.M.’s ‘Shiny Happy People.’
Wilde explained why the band, comprising himself and Phil Solem, were initially reluctant to have their name associated with the sit-com:

Unwelcome is a horror movie directed by Jon Wright starring Hannah John-Kamen and Douglas Booth.
A mixture of horror and local bright spots that, as it progresses, stops being “scary” to introduce us to “something else” that, although it will not be that surprising, it is quite interesting.
The creatures that appear will be quite familiar to you (whether or not they resemble the Critters is up to you).
Movie Review Unwelcome (2023)
For a B-movie, it has its merits in some places, especially in terms of cinematography. It knows how to maintain its tone of a fable and coherently interconnect the protagonist landscape with the narrative and the personal dramas of each one. The acting is fine, but no one here is exactly going to win an Oscar.

Before Steven Tyler and Joe Perry became the “Toxic Twins,” they were merely intoxicated. On a newly unearthed demo tape, which is coming out with the regrettably punny title The Road Starts Hear, that Aerosmith cut in 1971 — two years before releasing their self-titled debut — the band sounds loose and lubricated on embryonic versions of “Dream On,” “Mama Kin,” and other ditties they would be performing live for the next 50 years. It’s at once both a sonogram of the band as journeymen and a testament to the vision they had early on,...

A previously unheard recording of “Need Your Love So Bad” — a blues song that late Fleetwood Mac frontman Peter Green sang with the group in its early days — will come out in conjunction with the release of a new book about Green, The Albatross Man, this October. Rolling Stone has a sneak peek of the track this Wednesday.
Green recorded the vocal in his mother’s attic sometime in the mid-Sixties; the more familiar recording of the track came out on Fleetwood Mac’s 1969 LP, The Pious Bird of Good Omen.

Last week, Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie walked back comments to the BBC that the band might tour again, but without Stevie Nicks or John McVie. As she told Rolling Stone, it was a “cheeky answer” to a question about the band’s future and not necessarily true.

An arthouse-orientated Berlin line-up could ultimately reveal some pleasant surprises.
“Apprehension” was the word used by artistic director Carlo Chatrian to describe the mood of the films at the Berlinale 2021. Given the precarious state of the world this pandemic midwinter, that’s possibly the best we could expect as he announced the titles under the gaze of the festival’s stern, bespectacled black bear..
But there was a sense of resilience as well. Chatrian and his co-chief, the festival’s managing director Mariette Rissenbeek, have responded to lockdown constraints with their second selection planted firmly in the European arthouse. It...

The Berlin International Film Festival has set its full slate for the upcoming 2021 edition. Berlinale usually follows Sundance with a February festival, but the pandemic has forced organizers to develop a new festival format for 2021. The 71st Berlin International Film Festival is set to take place with the “Industry Event” from March 1 to 5, which will include the European Film Market (EFM), the Berlinale Co-Production Market, the Berlinale Talents, and the World Cinema Fund in online forms. From June 9 to 20, 2021 the Berlinale will launch a “Summer Special” with numerous film presentations in Berlin, both at indoor and outdoor cinemas.
Included in the March event is the traditional film festival slate, which includes the main Berlinale Competition lineup as well as sidebar sections such as Berlinale Special & Berlinale Series, Encounters, Berlinale Shorts, Panorama, Forum & Forum Expanded, Generation, Perspektive Deutsches Kino, and Retrospective. With the exception of the Retrospective, the films will be shown at the March event.

When Japanese VFX-wizard-turned-director Takashi Yamazaki (“Dragon Quest: Your Story”) tackled “Lupin III: The First” (GKids), the first CG movie in the Monkey Punch Anime franchise, he turned for inspiration to the great Hayao Miyazaki. After all, Miyazaki cut his feature teeth on the franchise’s “The Castle of Cagliostro” (1979), which was Yamazaki’s ’80s introduction to Miyazaki. And, for good measure, Miyazaki continued to make his mark on master thief Lupin by directing two influential TV episodes the following year: “Wings of Death: Albatross” and “Farewell My Beloved Lupin.”
The Oscar-winning Miyazaki (“Spirited Away”) humanized the stylish Lupin in “Cagliostro” by making him a gallant hero as well, rescuing a princess in distress on the way to seizing his treasure. Fittingly, Yamazaki borrowed the theme for “Lupin III: The First” by having Lupin rescue a brilliant archaeologist, Laetitia, in search of a mysterious supernatural artifact that connects both of their ancestries.

If there’s one song that sums up the stoic guitar genius of Peter Green, it’s “Jumping at Shadows,” recorded live in February 1970, at the Boston Tea Party. Green was on top of the world; a 23-year-old rock star leading the London band he founded, Fleetwood Mac. They were the toast of Britain, riding their Number One hit “Albatross.” But “Jumping at Shadows” is a doomy blues ballad, his voice full of wistful dread, his guitar full of delicate pain. “I’m going downhill and I blame myself,” he sings.

Peter Green, co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, has passed away. He was 73-years old. A law firm representing the guitarist's family, Swan Turton, confirmed his death in a statement. "It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Green announces his death this weekend, peacefully in his sleep. A further statement will be provided in the coming days," the statement said. Green formed Fleetwood Mac with drummer Mick Fleetwood in the late 1960s, though he left the group following a final performance in 1970 amid mental health issues.
Peter Green was one of the eight members of Fleetwood Mac to get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is often cited as one of the best guitarists in rock history. The London-born blues guitarist first gained notoriety in 1965 when he was chosen as Eric Clapton's replacement in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. "He might not be better [than Clapton] now.

Pierce Brosnan is set to star in Youth, the feature film directorial debut from writer/director Brett Marty based on his 2016 short of the same name. Marty, Josh Izenberg and Amelia Whitcomb co-wrote the film adaptation, which is being produced by Jib Polhemus, Paul Schiff, and Martin Brennan.
The pic is set in a future not far from now, where “Renewal” has become the world’s hottest (and most expensive) commodity — a procedure to rewind your body’s biological clock back to its prime. Joel (Brosnan), an ad-tech engineer, is about to retire at age 70, after a lengthy career. Not wanting to lose him, his company pays for him and his wife Alice to Renew — a luxury promising a second chance. Alice emerges from the operation in her 20s, but for Joel, the procedure goes tragically wrong. Rather than make him younger, his aging begins accelerating rapidly, and his remaining years evaporate into mere weeks.

Wild Bunch TV-sold “Albatros,” Turner Latin America’s banner title “Amarres” and REInvent Studios’ globe-trotting “Peacemaker” will feature at a 54 series-strong Buyers Showcase, which launches today March 25 as a backbone of Series Mania’s online Digital Forum, Europe’s first big festival experiment in a virtual marketplace.
Also featuring a powerful Co-Pro Pitching lineup, packed by pedigree producers and creatives, the Digital Forum’s industry audience, such as the number of accredited distributors, still has to be confirmed.
Some high-profile titles are missing: Opener “The Luminaries,” for example, from Fremantle and Working Title, and HBO closer “Run.” That said, the Buyer’s Showcase looks set to include five of Series Mania’s original 10 main competition entries and 13 of its 15 International Panorama titles, the festival’s two main sections.
Looking to the long-haul, as it also address urgent financial fall-out from Covid-19, the industry needs festival selection more than ever.

Exclusive: Paramount Pictures is moving forward with a biopic of Sammy Davis Jr. Studio has set Charles Murray to write the script. The movie is based on several resources, among them the singer’s 1965 memoir Yes I Can: The Story of Sammy Davis Jr, which Davis wrote with Jane and Burt Boyar.
Menchel said after they set the project at Paramount under di Bonaventura’s deal, they searched long and hard for the right writer, and eventually found themselves on Murray’s doorstep. Physically, Charles Murray is the polar opposite of the wiry and diminutive film subject, nor would you confuse him with Arthur Murray for that matter. His credits as a writer/producer include the muscular dramas Sons of Anarchy and Luke Cage,...
