YOUR RATING
Shane Sheehy in Evil Film (2009)
When an overly ambitious film major's 16mm film is possessed by demonic forces, it's up to him to dispel the evil before it takes over the entire film department. A parody of Sam Raimi's 'Evil Dead' movies in the vain of 70s exploitation--Evil Film grimaces with an off-beat salute to those brave souls out to make their first film.

    • Trivia
"Evil Film" came as a bi-product of the film that John Morgan originally set out to make for his Freshman project. "Drones" was meant to star his brother, but had Shane Sheehy on stand-by for the lead. When John ran into several camera malfunctions while using the school's 16mm Bolex cameras, he realized he couldn't afford to re-shoot any of the footage he lost, and scrapped the idea entirely. About a month in the works, John cut his budget in half from $1200 to $600 with a screenplay called "Evil Film" which was meant to be a parody of the ordeal. John even managed to use his damaged footage as a plot device. In the style of "The Evil Dead", Sam Raimi's first feature which had a huge impression on John as a kid, John set out to make a comedy farce starring Shane Sheehy. Shane had cut his hair for the lead role in "Drones", but came to realize that he mildly resembled Bruce Campbell in the of Ash.
