This first episode accurately portrays the absolute mania that tiger king caused in mid 2020. It's kind of wild to look back on it now, but I'm here for round two.
This just doubles down on the mental. Motivations and conspiracies, new witnesses and participants. If you enjoyed the first series this is giving more insight into all their lives, and man they're all shady as shipt.
I'm still not sure why I am hooked, Perhaps if I can just figure out the one person who is not lying, enjoy.

Forget the so-called "Trump bashing" a few other reviewers here have bitched about. The segment in question shows Joe Exotic's disciples showing up in DC just as the January 6th "revolution" was starting, hoping to snag a pardon from the lame duck President. In fact, the Trump supporters featured interacting with the Tiger King's ppl strike a sympathetic chord when one woman berates them for supporting an animal abuser.
That is a tiny portion of episode one. The rest of season two is about the sickening array of greedy animal exploiters who deserve to be shut down and incarcerated for their moral and legal crimes. The woman who might have murdered her husband but was never adequately investigated in a timely manner (and whose brother happens to be a local deputy). The scam artist who ripped off a charity for millions only to get a slap on the wrist and go on to prosper via continued sleazy shenanigans and - as is all too often in America - acquiring some measure of immunity for cooperating with the government to help convict Joe Exotic. The disgusting Indiana animal exploiter who lost dozens of healthy animals to agonized death in an irresponsible move. Plus all their slimy partners and underlings.
There are glimmers of hope offered by a few law enforcement officers and government officials who seem to be taking the issue seriously, beyond the token victory of shutting down Joe Exotic. And whatever one might think of PETA, it's obvious their rep genuinely cares about the welfare of the animals and is actively trying to save them from the horrors perpetrated by the money-hungry exploiters.

There is no new content. If there was, you would of already heard of it on the internet because of how stupidly popular this topic became. We were all in lockdown and needed a break with some trashy TV. That's it. We do not need to revisit this. We do not need to make these losers more famous or rich by throwing money at them people! They're weirdos. They're criminals. And now the popularity of the topic has caused all these other cockroaches to come out and try to make a buck of any and every one of them (commercials, product lines, lawyers, private investigators) . I do not give a crap about some YouTubers opinions on this trash either. Season 1 was fun because it was a fresh story with some crazy stuff happening or having happened. But it's over now, move on. Be better Netflix.
Let's face it , it's a hard case to watch. It's presented in an entertaining way that seems fair in that It presents all sides . At the end of the day it's entertaining .
In this series, we are watching a crime drama set in the world of captive tiger breeding and rescue world. The tigers are beautiful, people appear to have good intentions misguided as they are.
No one here got anything handed to them. All appear self taught and self made , and they do love the animals . They are doing their best with what they were dealt and my aversion to their interests is beside the point, all the info and updates are here and presented with some great footage , found family , update us on where they are now In s2 ep1.
It's a very well made documentary considering Joe is convicted already and managed to be a sympathetic character.
I hadn't been following the outcome and so the first episode is a nice update ( while it gave me some vibes of being home during the pandemic)
For what this is I would rate it a 9 but it's not really a 9 is it .
