In less than two decades, Danmarks Radio produced this play for TV with entirely new crew and cast for each version. First, in 1955, Ebbe Rode carried the title part directed by Edvin Tiemroth. Second was this production from 1958 with Jørn Jeppesen as Dr. Knock in Kai Wilton's direction. And third in 1973 with Henning Moritzen taking the leading part directed by Palle Wolfsberg.
