Metro last light in 2 words: Scary fallout

I'm joking the only thing that shares with fallout is the post apocalyptic environment and how looks like the people stopped in time the different stations looking with a slightly 50s ambiance and the use of cassettes and radios, etc...

I loved this game the characters the history everything that the first did good last light does it amazing, the only thing is that the surface levels are a pain in the lower part because of the filters but I guess no one is perfect but other than that it's a very fun game specifically the Theater station the show made laugh and you can see how the people adapted to live in the metro you can see the kids asking about what is an bird or what is a elephant.

METRO: LAST LIGHT: Pt. 2, Metro Trilogy

METRO: LAST LIGHT (2013) is a excepional FPS, survival horror game, and the second in the Metro trilogy. Inspired / based on the writings of the Russian novelist Dmitry Glukhovsky (The Metro trilogy).

The game follows Artyom as he further struggles through a dark apocalyptic Russian metro system, not only seeking help from his people, but redemption from his past. I've rated this game highly because of my love and enjoyment for it, as well as for how replayable it was.

The gameplay itself is highly playable, mechanically. While the controls may take a little getting used to, it's fairly intuitive. Smooth controls, straight forward goals, and ever expanding storyline. This game also has a wide variety of enemies; everything from mutants to Nazi's. The story, music, characters and gameplay are all great, in my opinion.

"Following the events of Metro 2033, Artyom, now an experienced ranger, confronted with guilt must go on a journey to face threats from outside the metro and within, as he finds out that he is humanity's last salvation for peace."

The world of Metro 2033 is both breathtaking and devastating in its visuals. And though you may think to wander, every goal and objective is very clearly stated in the clip board journal along with a compass pointing to the next quest.

METRO: Last Light really sets the stage for this epic survival apocalyptic trilogy and a great sequel to the first game. This series are among my favorite games ever. I personally have found them to be highly enjoyable. My cup of tea.

Off the rails and into the wilderness...

It's weird playing through the Redux double package. Since they moved the gameplay improvements from this entry retroactively to 2033, this now feels like a Part 2 of a whole package.

Fortunately, the game is a step up in the writing department. It is much less a series of repetitive missions with different people leading the way. Instead we get more of an adventure to atone for your past, with the occasional side character. Unfortunately, these side characters of Metro's world are still a little underdeveloped, this is especially noticeable with the first woman with important dialogue in the series, Anna. I have heard, thankfully, that the next game apparently steps up in this regard.

The game does pepper background characters throughout its HUBs though. I listened in on most of the missable conversations, and they breathe life into the world pretty effectively.

Within it's excellent atmosphere, there are still some interesting themes woven throughout, with the game's exploration of understanding other lifeforms. They're not tied into the gameplay as effectively as much as I'd like (killing whole hordes to spare the final leader reeks of ludonarrative dissonance to me). Still, it tries. Certainly more than most FPS games out there.

This time through I was a good boi, it felt more like the right thing for the story this time. Its final third was more effective for the mistakes I made in 2033. I'm not sure if the experience is better or worse knowing about the karma system. Regardless, messing up in the first game and then doing things right (mostly) this time around felt like the more interesting story.

If anyone wants an FPS that feels like it's actually trying to say something, I would certainly recommend Last Light and 2033.
