Great venture for Ice Cube and I really appreciate that he tapped into great talent and creative pools from now defunct CW shows like "Everybody Loves Chris" and "Half and Half". With "Are We There Yet?" being on TBS following the lead of the template that Tyler Perry has set should insure that these shows don't end abruptly and will have a lasting syndication run.
These episodes are setting the pace for possibilities with all the rich characters and situations to draw from. For example the Hyphenated name issue really was thought provoking and funny. I give this a 7 with room to grow. I am look forward to seeing where things go.

Well so far all I've seen is a couple of silly trailers for the show. I don't see a listing on tbs or anywhere else for that matter. That is really too bad because my daughter and I wanted to give it a chance. We are both fans of Terry Crews from his superb performance on "Everybody Hates Chris" and other internet appearances such as a series of Old Spice deodorant commercials which can be found quite easily on YouTube at http:// www.youtube.com.
His reviews on the YouTube spots and everywhere else are overwhelmingly positive. As a comedic actor Mr. Crews has a great range. We want to be entertained, tbs, so bring this show back for another season and give my 9 yr old daughter and myself a chance to judge (and review online for your perusal) ourselves.
It's late so this non-review may not be as coherent as it is in my head... Something perhaps lost on the 3:30 AM red-eye from my brain to my thumbs (yes, I am typing this non-review on my 4.3" screen HTC EVO). So one more time, we implore you to please promote the show and give us a second chance to see if we like it, simply because Terry Crews is a funny guy and I hope he will start getting the exposure he deserves.

Based on the Ice Cube movie franchise Are We There Yet?, this series continues off from the sequel movie Are We Done Yet?.
AWTY: The Series stars the funny Terry Crews as Nick Persons, who is married to his wife Suzanne Kingston-Persons (the talented Essence Atkins) and have 2 children: Kevin (Coy Stewart) and Lindsey (Teala Dunn), along with Nick's mother Marilyn (the funny Telma Hopkins). Outside of the family, Nick has his best friend Martin (Christian Finnegan), and Suzanne's best friend and co-worker Gigi (the sassy Keesha Sharp).
We also do get Ice Cube (who's also the executive producer of the series) as Suzanne's brother Terrence, so if you liked the AWTY movies, give the TV series a shot and see for yourself.

I just discovered this show through Samsung Tv plus and must say that I have fallen in love with it. I watch it almost every day. It's just an all around feel good show that keeps me laughing and in my happy place.
It's a nice light hearted family show that I will admit starts slow but gets good towards the middle of the second season.
I don't really understand a lot of the criticism, the vast majority of sitcoms are at this level of quality my biggest issue with the show is it can be boring at times but aside from that enjoyable. The main characters are okay and most the celebrity guest steal the show each his own I guess but I prefer the show over the movie.
