The Exodite

This is a graphically well-crafted show with somewhat interesting characters. What is totally lacking is plot of any kind... even within the WH40K universe. The script is droll, the plot pointless, and a rational ending non-existent.

Warhammer 40K started out as a fun and even humorous game, but as the years have passed it has become darker and more horrid in concept. While that is likely more "realistic" within the concept of the WH40k universe, it makes for really horrid stories and videos. There are no heroes; even the humans are fanatical psychopaths.

I'm sure a lot of fans will rate this video highly just because it's WH40K... but that fact doesn't make it good video. This was basically nonsense, an exercise in video graphics without plot, purpose or conclusion.

This series has great animation, some decent fight scenes, and good voice acting. However, it's greatly let down by a lack of character and plot, ultimately leaving me feeling like I wasted my time.

I agree with the other review that this series lacked plot and resolution, almost like a test prototype for animation exercises, built on a script written by chatgpt.

The series follows a scifi race, sent for a vague mission on a planet torn apart by war. The team spends too much time standing around musing, confusingly developing little plot, nor character.

The ending made me shrug my shoulders. As it may have had some meaning in the long established franchise, but as a standalone series lef me feeling like I wasted my time.

So much fat should've been cut from this series, and focus should've been centred around an immediate goal and more interestng characters.

Don't waste your time.

I've only just watched the three episodes, so I am late to the party in 2025. It was wonderful to see an animation featuring Tau, Eldar & Imperium. I really enjoyed all three episodes. It gives a meaningful insight into the Tau beliefs system and their mindset. The arrogance of the Eldar and destructive nature of the Imperium. As a Warhammer 40K fan you could not ask for more. It was also refreshing not to have Space Marines featured in this animation, being the poster boys of Gamesworkshop. It was good to see the focus on other factions. The effects and animation are all good quality and the voice acting was beyond brilliant. I recognised Clancy Browns voice from the start, very impressive.
