Through a series of separate yet increasingly intertwined stories, SF
STORIES focuses on the relationship between Michael, a 30-something
Chinese American man with a fetish for Asian women, and Wendy, a 25
year-old Japanese American woman who is intelligent, strong-willed but
afraid of the world. Their relationship, buffeted by their
interactions with various friends and strangers and by circumstances
both comic and tragic, is observed ultimately by all the characters'
participation in a documentary examining their lives. SF STORIES shows
their hope, their loneliness, their dreams, and how people sometimes
have to make do with what they have.
