The Sullivan-Barnes family have been sent back to the last three decades of the 20th Century to trace the development of our modern technological age. This time they get to grips with the technology of the 1980s. This was the decade of the handheld game, the early home computers, VHS video and CDs. Although they were exciting, especially at the time, they prove that technology was very much in its infancy.

The Sullivan-Barnes family have been sent back to the last three decades of the 20th Century to trace the development of our modern technological age. This time they find out what the technology of the 1990s had to offer. It proves to be the start of the modern world in earnest, but the technology is still slow by the standards of 2009, and the arrival of gaming consoles creates arguments and sends the family to different rooms as the togetherness they experienced in the 1970s almost completely disappears.
