The BBC, Netflix and co-producer ZDFneo have given the go-ahead to a second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, one of the breakout hits of 2024, which stars Wednesday’s Emma Myers as the precocious lead.

The six-part Season 2 will be based on Holly Jackson’s second novel, Good Girl, Bad Blood, and Jackson will write alongside Poppy Cogan, who penned the first series. Cameras will roll next year.

In Good Girl, Bad Blood, Pip is initially determined to stay away from more investigations after solving the Andie Bell case. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. Myers, who broke out playing Enid Sinclair in Wednesday, returns as Pip while Zain Iqbal will continue playing Ravi Singh.

Charlotte Kirk (Duchess) is set to topline Myra, an indie drug thriller from veteran action director R. Ellis Frazier.

Leading indie distributor Well Go USA has picked up North American rights to “Death March,” an upcoming WWII action film starring and conceived by action star Scott Adkins.

In Adkins’ story, scripted by Marc Clebanoff, a British airman washes ashore after being ejected from his plane and becomes a prisoner in a Japanese-run Pow camp. While waiting to join the infamous Bataan death march, the airman is tortured by the camp commander and is forced to fight for his life against an array of skilled Japanese warriors. Adkins portrays the airman. Veteran actor Peter Shinkoda plays the camp commander.

Under the direction of Louis Mandylor, the film has recently wrapped production in the Subic Bay and Bataan region of the Philippines. Release plans have not yet been finalized.

Michael Jai White has been an electrifying presence in action movies for decades, and he brings that power to the screen again in his new movie As Good As Dead. Directed by R.
