However, the movie's cover was the best part about the ordeal that turned out to be "We Found Something". Why? Well, simply because it was a found-footage movie. And I absolutely loathe that type of movie.
The storyline that writer Jesse Heisel, whom also directed the movie, was bland and very, very generic. Not to mention slow paced and rather uneventful, which just added to the agony that was sitting through 88 minutes of the torture that the movie was.
The girl filming herself for whatever pathetic video channel she was running for her "followers" was one of the most annoying characters I've witnessed in a long, long time, complete with insanely annoying dialogue.
Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Not that there was a lot of performers on said list. The acting performances were fair enough for a home made video project such as "We Found Something", but nothing outstanding or impressive.
Visually, well, not impressive. The creature design had me laughing when you get to see it.
The shoddy, shaky hand-held camera presentation of a movie just doesn't sit well with me, not in the least.
My rating of writer and director Jesse Heisel's 2022 movie "We Found Something" lands on a one out of ten stars.
The creepy/too close relationship between brother and sister made it almost too awkward to watch. But that aside, the creature was absolutely horrendous. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I haven't seen special effects this bad in a long time. And I'm not expecting much from a found footage film. But this was just out right cringe.
The story line I actually liked. Even the actors were okay, albeit no Oscars, but still watchable. But that creature, it just obliterates any sliver of hope this movie had. I would stay far away. Don't waste your time.
Much of the plot is people sitting in a car, which is a petty weak way to pad out the run time. The characters make terrible decisions only for the sake of plot. All of this might have been forgivable, but that ending was just... just terrible. It was a stupid twist that makes no freakin' sense in any way.
In short, there are much better options out there.

- TriviaThe concept was written by Jesse Heisel, however, the entire film was improvised by the actors. No script or dialogue was ever written and the actors had little to no idea what they were filming each day.
