    Outstanding first time movie.

At my first viewing of Evolution of Andrew Andrews I was not impressed. The humor of Evolution of Andrew Andrews is not really my cup of tea but the acting was absolutely superb. I followed it through several different edits at several different film festivals. I not only saw the growth in the characters but a growth in the over all story line. Following the journey of the spoiled Andrew from child like innocents to capable adult success, despite many hilarious setbacks, takes the hand of the viewer in a way that is exceptional in comparison to the normal Hollywood experience. Although obviously an Indy, the humor was richly fresh. Even the out takes are hilarious. This movie must be seen several times and each time something new about the characters comes out.

    Silly and Sweet Comedy

This is a super-cute film, which I think any adult would enjoy, especially anyone who's ever acted or been a struggling actor. Sometimes in independent films the acting isn't great, but the performances here are all excellent, especially by leads Will Klipstine and Amy Mills, as well as the supporting characters and a few cameo performances. I love a movie that can make me laugh and cry, especially if it's at the same time, and this movie managed to do that. My favorite thing about the film is watching the relationship between the two leads unfold. Mills is captivating as a non-nonsense casting director who seems to detest grovelling actors, but who has a soft spot for the worst of them all. Klipstine is skilled at playing a character who seems too goofy to take seriously in the beginning, but then becomes impossible not to love. Not only are the performances great, but the storyline plays out well and keeps you invested throughout the whole film, with many silly and sweet moments along the way. Highly recommend this film!!

    Funny comedy with a heart

The Evolution of Andrew Andrews is by all definitions an "indie" movie. It doesn't have special effects or big names. But it has a fresh voice and a unique vision. The movie was written and produced by the stars and is quite obviously a labor of love. And a labor of laughs. On the surface it reads like a goofy comedy a la Adam Sandler. Yes, there are some gross out moments and plenty of belly laughs. And the lead character of Andrew can give Billy Madison a run for his money. But as the movie goes on you realize the heart that underlies the comedic tone. The two leads have great chemistry and it is easy to get invested in their budding love story. It is a movie for all ages and one that is sure to put a smile on any face.

    $40k Broad Physical Comedy!

I like broad comedy, but more than that I like talent (no matter the genre). Not sure what I'm more impressed with-that they did a movie for 40K (according to budget on IMDb) or that it was a broad slapstick comedy, a rom-com, and a coming-of-age all wrapped up in one.

I didn't like the main character at first until I realized what a bubble came out of (and how ridiculous he actually was) and how he slowly developed into an actual real human being after interacting with someone other than a weird-looking E. T. doll. Overall, I legit belly-laughed at least 5 times. I don't like to drop spoilers so I won't list the moments. Plus everyone's taste is different.

You start off with this "kid" who has probably never even put his own ketchup on his burger and go from there to "adulthood" in the most absurd, ridiculous manner, all while being guided by a saint (a great actress that I've never seen in anything else).

What drove me to this movie was the lead actor Will Klipstine from another film. His acting in this movie is completely opposite. Good range.

This is a movie that no one will ever see. But should! For 40K it deserves a 100 out of 10. Highly recommend if you like absurd comedy and/or broad physical comedy and/or juvenile romance.

    enjoy the ride

I was fortunate enough to catch an earlier screening of this charming little gem at a film festival. Undoubtedly a labor of love – since both the male and female main characters wrote, produced, directed and acted in the film as well as everything else (hey, did they make their own costumes and sets too? Probably!! The talent is obviously there!) – it is the love shining through the laughter than keeps the film moving. The humor is broadly drawn and some of the subplot probably makes more sense to those familiar with the oddities of film making in Hollywood. But even without insider knowledge, this is a funny movie. The absurd coming of age storyline of Andrew is knee-jerk hilarious and showcases the range and versatility of a gifted comedic actor willing to literally do anything to get his point across. Andrew - the little boy in a man's body - embodies all the innocence, wonderment and also all the irritating questioning of your average 4-year-old. His unlikely love interest, Olivia, grounds the film quietly and securely, delivering a luminous nuanced performance. Olivia's character connects with practically any woman who understands that love sometimes means holding the kite string of reality while her man bounces around in the air like a helium-filled balloon. In one pivotal scene, where Olivia is trying to decide whether to listen to her head or her heart, you can literally see the wheels whirring in the depths of those big expressive eyes as she contemplates …"Is this guy worth it?" Fortunately for Andrew – and for the audience – the answer is a resounding "Yes!" See this movie. You will laugh. You will gasp. You will grin. You will feel your heart flutter. You will find yourself remembering certain comedic bits long afterward. And you will certainly not regret it.
