    $40k Broad Physical Comedy!

I like broad comedy, but more than that I like talent (no matter the genre). Not sure what I'm more impressed with-that they did a movie for 40K (according to budget on IMDb) or that it was a broad slapstick comedy, a rom-com, and a coming-of-age all wrapped up in one.

I didn't like the main character at first until I realized what a bubble came out of (and how ridiculous he actually was) and how he slowly developed into an actual real human being after interacting with someone other than a weird-looking E. T. doll. Overall, I legit belly-laughed at least 5 times. I don't like to drop spoilers so I won't list the moments. Plus everyone's taste is different.

You start off with this "kid" who has probably never even put his own ketchup on his burger and go from there to "adulthood" in the most absurd, ridiculous manner, all while being guided by a saint (a great actress that I've never seen in anything else).

What drove me to this movie was the lead actor Will Klipstine from another film. His acting in this movie is completely opposite. Good range.

This is a movie that no one will ever see. But should! For 40K it deserves a 100 out of 10. Highly recommend if you like absurd comedy and/or broad physical comedy and/or juvenile romance.

sitting on the sidewalk counting cars is much much better than watching this

I don't usually write reviews, but had to force myself to do it since all the reviews i see here are apparently written by film crew, otherwise can't believe that any sane person that is over 3 years would give this film any praise. There are so many terrible things i can say about this terrible waste of my time that i don't know where to start, actors are not really actors, it is like a bunch of kids who couldn't get into porn because of their bad acting, that's how their acting was, there is much better acting on youtube videos made by 13 year olds. the story is even worse than the acting, you can tell those people who made this film and wrote it are all some people who failed to make it in Hollywood and that what's going on in studios and casting rooms is all what their lives evolve around and their brains can think of. camera work, directing, etc..all sucks, and the still worst of all is when they are trying to be funny, you better have a bucket nearby in case you throw up.

    Great Indie Film

It's so obvious that this film is a labor of love. The two leads wrote, directed and produced this and that very well could be the explanation for the genuine spark and excitement that translates on screen. It's a hero story, from start to finish, with Andrew Andrews going through the typical, "You've been cut off!" scenario, to an a- typical response and storyline. There are some seriously funny moments in this film and I liked it that, in the midst of all of the comedy, there was a heartwarming love story and transformation of the main character. One of the final scenes with the main character working on the ranch is one of those beautiful, authentic moments of life somehow caught on film. Watch it!

    The Problem With This Movie

Yeah, there's some funny scenes, but they wanted to be be so much more than they were. This is not a Hollywood movie. It's so obvious they didn't have money. I guess there's a huge difference between "Independent Films" that studios make with famous people and true Indies that the filmmakers pay for themselves.

I'll give the two main actors credit for being good actors, but nice try to the filmmakeers. There are some legit funny scenes in this movie, but I'm crediting the actors, not the filmmakers. This film looks cheap. Shout out to the main actor for holding together what little there is to hold. He has some solid moments mostly towards the end of the movie but that's why it's called "Evolution of..." so I get it. Maybe an 8th grader would relate to it more. If this thing really did win all those awards at film festivals, I don't want to see its competition. But kudos to the main guy. He's better than this.

    Outstanding first time movie.

At my first viewing of Evolution of Andrew Andrews I was not impressed. The humor of Evolution of Andrew Andrews is not really my cup of tea but the acting was absolutely superb. I followed it through several different edits at several different film festivals. I not only saw the growth in the characters but a growth in the over all story line. Following the journey of the spoiled Andrew from child like innocents to capable adult success, despite many hilarious setbacks, takes the hand of the viewer in a way that is exceptional in comparison to the normal Hollywood experience. Although obviously an Indy, the humor was richly fresh. Even the out takes are hilarious. This movie must be seen several times and each time something new about the characters comes out.
