                My favorite episode.

I need to say this before my review that this is my favorite episode of American dad and it will probably stay like that to.

                In country...club:

When Steve sings the national anthem he has trouble so Stan "helps him out" by taking him to a Vietnam reenactment to "help him out" but Steve decides he is not cut out for it and ditches with Stan after him.

Steve later tries to sing again and with "Stan's help" again he still can't not even in the shower so it's basically done but it happens Steve can now sing but he got wrinkled as well.

Really good episode a must watch one.

The perfect beginning for one of the best seasons in the show

In this episode Stan is announced that his son Steve has to sing The Star-Spangled Banner but he notices that he is out of training. So Stan has an idea: to take him to a Vietnam war simulation so that, after living such an event, he could sing the USA's National Anthem in a better way. After the experience, they go to the veterans' meeting but after hearing the fireworks he connects that sound to the bombs he heard in that re-enactment and he stops. Steve returns there and only Stan will be able to make him return on his tracks. In the end, Steve will manage to sing the US' National Anthem in a Michael Jackson-style (quite appropriate if you consider that this episode was aired for the first time in 2009). In the meanwhile Roger is impatient for the show of Barbra Streisand singing the Celine Dion hits and he ends up having a very soothing experience.

I really liked this beginning of the season for the plots and also because of Steve's situations and the ending made me laugh very loudly the first time I saw it. I liked also the fictional TV show's title sequence for MIND POWER (with the lead voiced by Robert Patrick). An episode not to be missed for fans of the show.

The pay-per-view passcode that Roger enters is 5318008. Backwards, this spells "BOOBIES."
                • Goofs
The first code Roger enters is 5318008 ("BOOBIES" backwards in calculator type), 7 digits long, and there was exactly enough room for this. The correct code turns out to be 4812, only 4 digits. Such security codes are a predetermined length, as indicated by the prompt shown. 4 isn't enough digits to be the code for this prompt.
