Comic or serious? Woody Allen or Bergman?

The film Woody Allen Takes Revenge is fascinating until the last moment because of the combination of suspense and humor; A feature that exists in Woody Allen's movies too.

In addition to the obvious references to Woody Allen and Bergmann, the extreme long shot of the road also refers to Kiarostami cinema.

The characters are trying to escape from the fate that was prophesied to them, like the characters in Macbeth.

The death, who is played by an actor with very serious look in Bergman's The Seventh Seal movie, in this movie is played by an actor (Asadullah Yekta), who usually plays comedic roles in Iranian cinema.

Overall, after the movie is over, we are not sure that we have watched a comedy movie.
