Excellent. A very moving little film!!

I saw this film at a film festival in Omagh in Northern Ireland last summer, and I thought it was very good. It was very emotional in parts, and although there were times I struggled to understand the accent and the speed of the dialogue, there was a strong universal story that was easy enough to follow. The young male lead actor was astonishingly good and the two gentlemen playing the two boys fathers were also very accomplished. The photography was beautiful at times, the wonderful song and great photography at the beginning helped to set up the story well. The story is told in a raw sort of social realism style. I was a little worried at the beginning with the disgusting bathroom scene. I thought I was in for something very grim, but the film is actually quite funny and has a subtle heart warming ending. I hope I get to see it again.

    Low budget at its best

Inspirational performances all round from a dedicated and gifted cast who produced an excellent film, secured a television screening and set the standard for low budget community based quality film. And it's a very high standard...thank you all, you're a delight to work with, we did it! The film perfectly captures the atmosphere of a dilapidated 1970s built housing estate defined by endemic unemployment and generational poverty, with all its compassion, black humour and the unexpected vitality of its young people. Vibrant debut performances from the young cast and the scenes with Decky and his Da (Sean Canning/James Lecky) are pure quality. Inspired and empathic direction from Keith O'Grady- just wish we'd had the budget to do the full length version, Next time...
