Devoured is about a man living-or rather, sleeping through-a recurring nightmare. The events within the nightmare may change, but the outcome is always the same-and it's nothing he'd ever want to experience. The line between dream and reality becomes increasingly blurred, which only deepens the horror.
From what I understand, the director intended this horror short as a tribute to their favorite monster, though it's unclear exactly which creature that is. It could be something like the Kumiho from Korean mythology, a seductive, shape-shifting female entity. However, similar monsters exist in many cultures' folklore, so viewers are free to interpret it in the way that makes the most sense to them.
