Frontier Sumatra

This is the conservation project called Restorasi Ekosistem Riau (RER). Farmers are burning and clearing forests. Poachers are stealing wild animals. It's been decades of destruction. The Kampar Peninsula is the last great peatland rainforest on Indonesia's Sumatra island. It's roughly the size of London. It's a daily battle to save this piece of paradise. This program is about an hour of beautiful tropical forest footage. There are some intriguing animals. The program members are finding traps. It's a bit rough at times but the movie is compelling nevertheless. It just needs to be more comprehensive.
