I look at all of these "shark attack" programmes a lot differently after watching the Ocean Ramsey documentary.
We know how much damage a Great White causes when it tries to kill something.
One thing is a fact. If they wanted to eat us, THEY WOULD!
They wouldn't nibble on a Paddle board. They'd destroy it, and eat the person on it in a couple of bites.
But what we see, like the guy who "got attacked" near New York.
He was absolutely unscathed!
His board had very light bite marks on it.
The shark had a half-hearted taste of it, realised it wasn't food, and moved on.it paid no attention to the guy whatsoever.
And that is more often the case.
A shark mistakes a surfboard for a seal, and attacks, accidentally catching a human.
We'd be like eating a box of matches to a shark! We're all bone.
They don't actively roam the shores looking for people.
If people knew just how close they were to shark EVERYDAY when they go surfing, they might never get in the water again!
But it just proves that we're not even on their radar.
So any shark attack is rare, and 99% of the time, an accident. But a great white only had to "have a taste" and that's half a person gone. As they're gigantic!
So I look at these shark attacks much differently now.
I still wouldn't get in the water with one, but I don't like the sea.
But they're even off the coast of the UK! They're everywhere.
If they wanted us, we'd know about it. Because they'd be wiping out entire beaches of people wouldn't they?
Perfect feeding ground... If they are human. But the vast vast majority don't.
Don't be a Sharksist! Lol.
