Avery Brooks - Narrator: An alien world of landscapes you never dreamed existed: vast mountain ranges, unending plains, violent volcanoes. But this is no alien planet; it's our own world. These are landscapes of the ocean floor, normally covered by miles of water. But all around the globe, scientists are mapping the seabed, collecting data, and building up a picture of the terrain below the surface. We've combined the very latest scientific data with specially developed computer animation software to create the landscapes of the ocean floor. Now, we'll pull an imaginary plug and drain all the water from the ocean. With no water, the planet looks completely different. This is the world we're going to reveal.
