I watched it and it sucked, it's a short skit/outer limits/twilight zone drawn out a bit, with absolutely zero surprise twist whatsoever. The other reviewer saying it's a subtle dark comedy is way off the mark. It is anything but funny, or good, or even worth watching. It is bad, from start to finish, without a single redeeming scene in it.
She runs a guy down whilst texting and driving a lonely back road, somehow zero damage to her car or no questions asked about repairing it.
She somehow lives and has money in her grandma's trailer home in the middle of nowhere... sure, why not, jobs aren't needed for income, AND her grandma was of course a mystic who lives on an old Indian burial ground, or whatever. Which pet semetarys things brought near it.
Then it ends.
Even for an indie movie, this just wasn't worth the time.
I've watched plenty of movies with budgets that match this or had less, yet somehow with some clever writing, were blockbusters by comparison.
Avoid this at all costs.
Saying all that, none of the camera work was really to fault, it was shot admirably for an indie movie, so that's where the 2 stars are coming from.

No horror thankfully, a well paced movie set in a location suited to the plot. Great acting from the male lead, Covered topics of, life with a stalker and loneliness. Clever and entertaining learning about how two best friends from school have more in common than each of them realise; how two tormented souls find heaven.
Found the very beginning totally unnecessary and off putting, and, the very end after the credits, The two females could have had wardrobe changes; and the use of a suitcase as a prop for someone on a road trip or even a backpack. Recommend I watched it again, something i rarely do within such a short time, and found it just as enjoyable to watch.

I loved this. A small, low budget, film, but with lovely performances from all involved. I thought the production values were great, and i loved the cinematography. I dont need every film to be action packed, or have deep meanings, or be awash with incidental music that takes over every scene. I thought this was an interesting and touching film, delicately told - and not afraid of silence or stillness. Not for everyone but i loved it.
The plot stems from a simple premise, which is gradually revealed, but at no time did i feel impatient - it explained what it needed to in its own time. I guess it had a slightly surreal, dreamlike quality in places, but the locations and vistas were crisp and rather stunning in their emptiness - which was probably deliberate. I always wanted to know more, but the ending left me fully satisfied.
From what i could see it was written, produced, directed and played by the same small group of people - i hope they were proud of the finished article.

I seem to be drawn to Indie movies lately. This one turns the usual stalker horror genre on its head. Other reviews have covered the plot. All I can say is that found the movie to be novel enough to be interesting. It was well worth the time to watch. However, if you are used to saccharine prefab blockbusters with non-stop physics-defying action sequences, then you probably won't find enough stimulation in this film. The film is set in the desert of the southwest US, and the mood the movie creates a mood that matches the scenery well. As for the comedic aspects, it is enough to cause a wry smile but not outright belly laughter. In regard to comedy, I think another Indie movie I have recently seen - Next Exit - was more entertaining, but both have clever plots.
First of all, there is no one named Jethica in this film. Jessica is the lead character and she is driving through New Mexico when she happens upon a former classmate from high school by the name of Elena.
It seems that Jessica has a stalker and she has left California to escape his stalking.
Meanwhile, we are first introduced to Elena in the opening scene as she is engaged in sex with a complete stranger in a motor vehicle. No explanation is ever given for these unusual circumstances. By the way, there is no nudity involved the said vehicle.
The two women pair up at Elena's mobile home in the middle of nowhere and we are finally introduced to Kevin, the stalker.
It only gets dumber by the minute and thankfully it was over in one hour and twelve minutes.
