James Sweeney has a thing for twins. In his new quirky dark comedy, “Twinless,” he and Dylan O’Brien play Dennis and Roman, two men who form an unlikely friendship when they meet at a support group for people whose identical twins have died.

In one scene, Dennis is shown watching Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in their 1995 comedy “It Takes Two.” Sweeney, who wrote and directed “Twinless,” reached out to the former child actors with a letter. “I think I espoused my love for them and begged them to use their likeness from the classic ‘It Takes Two,’” he recalls. “Incidentally, they’re not playing actual twins in the movie. They’re just playing people who look identical to each other.”

Since the film’s premiere at Sundance earlier this year, many have been assuming Sweeney has a twin in real life – he doesn’t.

Five-time Emmy winner Wayne Brady and Scottish pop singer Lulu will perform two concert stagings of To Sir, With Love – A New Musical at London’s West End in November.

Both concerts, at Gillian Lynne Theatre, are set for Monday, November 24. Lulu, of course, starred in the 1967 film version alongside Sidney Poitier and scored a hit with the title song.

The new musical adaptation, last performed by Brady at an invitation-only Los Angeles concert (today’s announcement describes the upcoming concerts as reimagined), features music and lyrics by John Farrar and Kara DioGuardi, with direction by Sheldon Epps. Both the musical and the film are based on the memoir of Guyanese-born British-American teacher and author E.R. Braithwaite.

In addition to the new score, the concerts will include Lulu’s signature “To Sir, with Love,” written by Mark London and Don Black.

Brady will be making his West End debut with the concerts.

The first season also failed to have any long tail appeal; in Netflix’s semi-annual data dump – the What We Watched report, showed that between January and June 2025, With Love, Meghan ranked #383 with 5.3M views, low for a Netflix original with four seasons of Markle’s USA Network scripted series Suits ranking higher than it, despite having been off the air for six years.

It was reported over the weekend that Victor, the TV and film actress best known for playing Miguel's grandmother in the 2017 animated feature film and starring as Lupita in Showtime's dark comedy-drama Weeds, among many other roles throughout her decades-long career, had died at her home in Sherman Oaks, California, on May 30 surrounded by her family after a battle with lymphoma. She was 86.
