    Englund on Eaten Alive

My Name is Buck: A Look Back at Eaten Alive (2007)

    *** 1/2 (out of 4)

This is the second featurette on the Special Edition of Tobe Hooper's EATEN ALIVE. This fifteen-minute interview with Robert Englund in incredibly entertaining and fans of the movie or him are certainly going to be entertained. Englund starts off talking about seeing The Twilight Zone, KING KONG and MOBY DICK and these were the things that made him want to be an actor. He talks about some of his early parts and how he ended up in Hollywood. The actor then shares why he wanted to do the part in EATEN ALIVE and what it was like working with the cast, the director and his thoughts on being in a horror film (this was his first). As usual, Englund is great fun to listen to as he goes from one story to the next. He tells a lot of great stuff about the making of EATEN ALIVE and even though I'm not a big fan of the movie I still found it entertaining to listen to. Englund really seemed to have had a great time on the movie but he does admit that he was disappointed in how poorly done the gator was. The actor even shares a funny story about the first time he saw THE Texas CHAINSAW MASSACRE.
