Garfield & Cie

This show isn't bad by any means, but it comes no where close to Garfield And Friends, I give this show 5/10 because it isn't bad necessarily, it's obviously different from Garfield And Friends, the Garfield show dives more into that futuristic side with a lot of weird stuff going on like plants growing inside of homes going through the roofs, it's different of course, different isn't always bad, here it's fine enough, but when you watch a few of the episodes you'd think to yourself that the writers were on something that they shouldn't had been on, so weird it is, but bad? I can't say for sure. So both good and bad, find out for yourself.

In this review I'm only talking about the facts. That should explain to you why it got a 6 instead of a 1 or a 2 compared to other reviewers.

The Garfield Show isn't a good cartoon, but shouldn't be watched as a last resort if their is nothing good on the TV. The first thing that should be said about the show is that it has very well done graphics. These are what Garfield characters should look like in 3D animation. The characters act like how they should, and have pretty good voices. Thank goodness. There is only one true problem with the show. A majority of their episode have poor stories. 35% of their plots are good. The rest are mediocre. There is this one episode where Garfield saved the Earth from alien Lasagnas. Yeah that's some story. One thing the Garfield show does perfectly, is breaking the forth wall. Even though it's way over used, It's good to know that it's never done badly. The Garfield Show is a cartoon that could have done better. In the end it stayed decent.

I've seen shows trying to copy or remake the old one, but 70% of the time it ends up a total failure and gets canceled after the first 3 episodes. This show however wasn't made for adults, you can obviously tell with all the cliché jokes and the same plot line.

There is one thing you have to thank this show for, keeping Garfield alive and strong. Kids aren't in to comic books, or comic "strips" as much as they were 2 decades ago, Since Garfield isn't really adapted to TV yet since the 1980s or so (sorry if I'm wrong I'm 15) The spirit of Garfield might of just died out if it wasn't for change and I think this is it, getting CHILDREN to like this show so who knows maybe one of them will carry on Garfield through another 20 years or so? we could only hope Garfield lives as long as it can even if we have to go through some change.

Oh and I never actually reviewed this show, I think its pretty funny at times I actually like the animation style its not to much I think the way Jon runs makes me laugh the most (not the way he was animated but the way he was meant to walk)I honestly think any kid would like this show, but I know really long Garfield fans would have a hard time to adjust.

The Garfield show is a nice little fun show for anyone of any age who like Garfield the character!!!

This show opens up the world of Garfield the most of all the different t.v shows the orange cat has had. I grew up reading & watching Garfield & like millions of others i loved that lasagne loving cat & i used to watch the old school cartoon Garfield & Friends where he had episodes & then the farm/barnyard characters had episodes it was great fun.

The BRILLIANT extremely talented voice actor legend Frank Welker is now the voice of Garfield & you wouldn't know the difference as he's that good!!! The original voice was the legendary Lorenzo Music R.I.P.

Anyway this is a lovely fun colourful show full of the characters we love & full of silly fun & harmless humour. There's adventure round every corner & it's nice to really explore garf's world & Jon's house. Just good Garfield fun.

Garfield Show is an okay series and fits the character of Garfield well, but there are two things that bring it down.

1. The dated CGI. It isn't the worst 2000s era CGi animation I've seen, but it's definitely worse the wonderful 2D animation of And Friends.

2. THE SONGS. Garfield Show had these specials during Season 3 or 4 that HAD to feature musical number. Yeah, let's halt the whole show just to let Garfield sing about how he's the king of cats to some lion cubs! GREAT IDEA!

But then again this show is how I found Garfield as a whole, so it gets some brownie points for that. My recommendation: dip your shoe into it once, then run back the Garfield and Friends.
