I know this review is biased, but I want to show love to the hard-working people who were involved & put time into The Texas Witch.
I am so grateful for the team we put together, and I hope the team enjoyed working together as much as I enjoyed working with them.
The Texas Witch would not have been possible without the community of Jacksonville, Tx. Thank you so much for being so supportive.
We filmed in June, and if you have ever been to East Texas, you know it's not just hot. It's humid as well. Thank you, crew, for working so hard and taking pride in your work.
Actors, on top of the heat, the bugs were horrible. And yet they did not break character which made for an amazing performance. Thank you so much.
Thank you to our editor, Brian Cox, for coming into post-production and adding the VFX work and completing the editing. Like most of our crew, everyone had multiple jobs, but what this man did in post was brilliant and amazing. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Brian.
Thank you to our executive producer, Jimmie Evans. Without his financial contribution, the Texas Witch would not have been possible.
Thank you to the multiple women who dressed up as "The Texas Witch." That Texas heat was scorching. Y'all all did an amazing job.
We are working on the story for The Texas Witch 2, and it will have even more thrills and definitely more blood. We will continue to grow with each film. Thank you to the fans and the supporters. None of this is possible without you!!
Now, let the critics and keyboard warriors have at it.
Legend has it a witch haunts the forbidden territories of a Jacksonville Forest killing anyone who dares to enter. When Piper Strickland's brother Jason goes missing in the forest, she and her three friends decide to go in and search for him.

This was an interesting watch. Largely filmed outside it was scenic, had a small cast that wasnt bad, but of course there was the staple jerk character. Yawn...
Set in Jacksonville TX, there are "off limits" woods where a Witch is rumored to roam. Several people have gone missing including Piper's brother and his girlfriend. Frustrated that nothing is being done to find her brother, Piper makes plans to travel to the woods to find him. Accompanied by her boyfriend and 2 theres, they venture into the woods. They soon realize the rescue has become a fight for survival. Most of the movie is 4 people roaming the woods being pecked off by the Witch, who you dont see upclose or a face. It drags on so slow it reminds me of Pilot movies in the 70s that were the first 90 minutes of a series. You just keep waiting for it to kick into gear and that never comes. I was expecting to hear at the end to "tune in tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel". But no, it ends. It is suspenceful, but you would think folks would have offered suggestions durring filming to make it more interesting. You see alot of woods, not much Witch and only 4 go in. Of course as usual, most dont arm themselves. Sooooo your in Texas, known for permitless open carry of weapons and your venturing into the "forbidden forrest" and 1 of 4 brings a knife? Serious? Who writes this stuff?
Gave this one a try based on ratings. Obviously the people associated with the film gave it the 10 ratings. I'd say it's more of a 2-3. The best part was the last scene. A sequel could be interesting. This film had nothing new or different. Cursed woods with people looking for the missing. The acting was really bad and the script boring. Slow moving. Didn't like or care about any of the characters. Waste of time.
From the bottom of our hearts we want to say thank you to all the cast, crew, and fans you have supported our film and made it come to life! You will never know how truly and eternally grateful we are to you all!
It took a long time to get here. At one point we really thought we lost this project. But we always kept our faith and continued to put one foot in front of the other and four years later we have a movie we are so beyond proud to release.
Once again I would just like to say thank you. Every comment, review, share, and purchase means more to us than you could possibly imagine. We love all of you!

If you are a local to East Texas and like Thriller movies, you will enjoy this! If you are not a local and like thrillers, it is still a great one to catch. Small details that leave you guessing and wanting more, twists and turns, and even a little comedy.
Some really cool CG work done to make this film elevate above other smaller films that I have seen.
