    Worth it

This film offers an engaging genre experience with an intriguing setup. It begins with a couple dealing with the aftermath of an off-screen accident, deciding to kill and bury the body in their backyard to cover it up. The tension rises as their relationship is tested, especially with the arrival of a strange woman who manipulates the wife through psychological tactics and threats.

This initial buildup introduces an engaging mystery and sets the stage for the unfolding drama. The second half capitalizes on this setup, featuring incidents with the strange woman and a secondary stranger who warns the couple about the dead buried in their backyard. The escalating tension, desperate actions, and the reassembled figure transferring a demonic entity all contribute to the chaos. The portrayal of demonic possession and the resulting madness bring solid action and impressive gore, making the film engaging overall. Despite a few minor flaws, such as a somewhat rushed setup and unclear backstories, the film offers plenty to enjoy for fans of the genre.

An enjoyable and likable genre effort

After a hit-and-run accident, a couple brings the victim home with them to figure out what to do with him and manage to kill him before burying him in the backyard, but when a strange woman arrives who saw everything it sets everyone off into a night of demonic possession and other terrors.

This was a generally fun genre effort. One of the best aspects here is the wholly intriguing setup that offers a fantastic starting point to unleash the type of terrifying material present. The initial reveal of the couple who just went through the accident off-screen but are getting caught up in the unraveling situation where they have to regroup around what's going on as the situation slowly revolves around killing and then burying the body in the backyard to prevent anyone from finding out what had happened gets this off to an intriguing start. With the exploits also drawing a fine line into their relationship far earlier than the unhinged nature of what's going on when the strange woman arrives and starts to psychologically toy with the wife in the form of bizarre seduction tactics or outright announcing what's going on, this first half is generally inviting the more it starts to introduce new points into the storyline. As these elements provide the basis for a fine mystery about what's happening, the second half brings about some rather solid and impressive means for capitalizing on the setup. The series of incidents here involving either the strange woman or the secondary stranger who visits the house warning them about what happens to the dead who are buried there serves nicely to bring a generally over-the-top series of ideas hinting that something's happening to them. Ranging from the couple trying to cut a body to pieces to save themselves, the reassembled figure returning to transfer the demonic entity into one of them, and the ensuing madness that arises once that takes place as the pieces that showcase a demonic possession have taken shape with the way she starts acting. Since this brings about some fine action and rather solid gore as a result, there's a lot to like here that holds this one up overall. There isn't much to dislike here at all. Among it's few issues is the somewhat rushed nature of the setup here that gives everything quite a bizarre feel with very few actions or backstories explained properly. It takes a while before it comes out that the couple are married or who was driving the car that hit the passenger, while the strange feature of not revealing what the stranger's dark secret is makes this aspect of the film come off like a twist for the sake of a twist. Since it's about trying to keep it a secret, the fact that we don't get any idea about what she is, what the point of the possession is, or how the whole thing operates means that we don't get as much out of the final half as we should due to the inability to know what the rules of the possessed are. None of this is all that detrimental or damaging in the slightest, but it is enough to just lower this one slightly.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, and Violence.

    $7

That is the budget of this movie, and I think it went to a bottle of Taaka. I've seen elementary school productions that are better than this. Kudos for the attempt but also not everything you think of should be let out into the world. I'd like my money back. The time...will never be regained. But I guess that's life: The only things you can actually get back are money and STDs. But only one of those has a lasting effect. Anyway, or enjoyed exactly zero things about this movie. I watched it alone and still felt embarrassed by what the people around me were thinking. Videos of my colonoscopies are more entertaining.

Cold doesn't blow as much as this movie does

The acting is terrible. The script is beyond mediocre. The two main characters who are married, are far from convincing, and have zero chemistry. The one liner attempts at humor don't work. The lead female character makes a sandwich of lettuce and one slice of cheese, and does not put anything else on it. No mayo, mustard, nothing. No wonder she says "I am hungry" to her husband at the 55:11 minute mark. Sorry, that's a spoiler I suppose. Oh, and the husband uses a shovel on their victim, yet no Blood on said shovel when he is finished?

There is a scene where the husband cooks a frozen pizza in about 4.2 seconds. And the oven had not even been preheated. Impressive.

The pace of this movie is draining, cheesy fight scenes, and the ending was just a solid excuse for you to cheer, for this 90 minute misfire of a film was over.

At the end of the day, I cannot in good faith recommend this film. I would rather watch a documentary on staplers.

    deserves way more attention

Cold Blows the Wind kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. When a married couple hits a jogger while driving drunk, they believe their night can't get any worse. But after heading to a remote location to bury the body, they quickly realize their nightmare has only just begun.

The tension is palpable as the couple's plan to cover up their crime spirals out of control. Each twist and turn adds to the suspense, making you feel their escalating panic and desperation. The film's eerie setting and masterful cinematography heighten the sense of dread, making every moment more gripping than the last. As their situation becomes increasingly dire, Cold Blows the Wind delivers a relentless and suspenseful experience that keeps you hooked.
