Bruce Springsteen: Born to Rock

If you knew nothing about Bruce Springsteen before watching this documentary, you would finish with a good sketch of his career and his place in the American landscape.

Diehard Springsteen fan here. I saw (a possible abridged version of) this documentary on cable. What was not included? There are video clips of Springsteen in concert, but no audio of the music itself. There was no discussion of his split from and subsequent reunion with the E Street Band. There was only a minimal discussion of the early part of his life and career (again, possibly edited for tv).

That said, there were video interviews with Bruce, Patty Scialfa, Clarence Clemons, and a number of others. The viewer would know what Bruce was about, at least at a high level. The magic of his work, one must discover on their own.
