Ricardo Montalban narrates this thirty-minute film. He also conducts interviews with people who work for NASA in various capacities. These include Mission Specialist Ronald McNair, who died in the Challenger Disaster, and astronaut Kathryn Dwyer Sullivan, whose career has encompassed becoming a Navy captain and an Undersecretary of Commerce. What may surprise people whose view of NASA is a sea of White males in white shirts and skinny ties, is that all of the people being interviewed are either women or Black.
There's also a sttatement that NASA needs all sorts of people for all sorts of jobs, many of them having nothing to do with science or space. It's a reminder that NASA has always had a public image problem.
