Don't take this as an apocalyptic survival guide, which some of the reviews are basing it upon. It's a well written comedy, which incorporates topics that are relevant to modern day. It's not trying to be offer a therapy session for the emotional moments, but more a lighthearted touch on issues some people face but in a comedic way.
It is not a series about real to life survival, and what to do in an apocalypse, it makes jokes on a group of ladies trying to survive whilst not taking itself seriously. You can tell the cast enjoyed filming and it makes it even more entertaining.
If you want a laugh, and to see a group make fun of living at the end of the world, then give it a go.

I found the series entertaining to watch. Yes it's a little silly, but it's not trying to be anything else. Plus I love that it is an Aussie production.
The episodes aren't too long, there's enough humour vs drama. It's interesting to see all the scenarios play out as the ladies navigate survival, their friendships and the trauma of the situation they all have found themselves in.
It encourages you to image how you would fit into this situation had you the unfortunate displeasure of being in their position. Would you be a leader, a follower, or a disruptor. Would you fall apart and be useless to the group? What kind of survival techniques do you actual posses that could be helpful? Would you turn on the group and go feral?

Honestly, this show Is the funniest and most original series I've seen in ages. When I tell you it is nothing like I expected, oh my god. I genuinely can't remember the last time a show or movie made me laugh so hard that I couldn't breathe through my painfully silent tummy-rupturing laughter. In a time where everything is so serious and we see nothing but bad news every time we turn on the TV, this show is an absolute gem and diamond in the rough and light at the end of that negativity tunnel. I cannot wait to see what these actors and creators go on to make this show - or any other show for that matter. I really hope that this show and it's amazing cast wins ALL the awards! If there was more than 10 stars, I would give it.
An excellent character study with good comedy moments. Great quality actresses interpreting a very good script.
A positive point is that the series knows how to explore the gray areas of all the characters, nobody is totally good or totally bad, which gives an air of maturity to the show.
The performances are very good, the characters are charismatic and none of them are boring.
The soundtrack features good alternative versions of famous songs.
The theme of the end of the world is secondary, just an excuse to keep these characters confined having to interact with each other.
Basically a comedy drama.
Sorry for bad english, I m writing from Brazil and loved this show which I have watched on a single day today.

Lord of the flies but make it Aussie and silly
Didn't know what I was in for but definitely had some good cheeky Aussie humour, touched on some some emotional topics in between the silliness and dug in deep into trauma a lot of young women go through in their formative years and how they deal with it in their developing adulthood. Yes it's a bit silly, goofy and ridiculous most of the time and sure isn't what would be considered a cinematic masterpiece but it is a bit of enjoyable fun. Good development of quite a bit of the cast and good to see some recognisable faces take on more comedic roles.
