A darling story with a great cast! No need to be worried about who this film is appropriate for as it is most definitely appropriate for all ages. How refreshing it is to be able to sit down to view a movie without any concerns as to which eyes or ears are watching. While animated films are fun, it is nice to find a great family film without it having to be animated. No sex, blood, violence or bad language. The magical touches in the movie add to the fun! The locations of the film are beautiful and well chosen. I especially enjoyed the beauty of the prom scene in the movie. A nice film to add to your family film library! I highly recommend taking the time to check this movie out!
This is possibly one of the most poorly written, casted and directed movies I've ever seen. I realize it's written for a specific tween age group, but this is so behind the times. My little sister was dumbfounded with what the characters were saying and sometimes thought it was a joke. The whole movie is laced with an annoying whimsical, "everything will be OK" type of vibe that just drags down every potential for an exciting moment.
The only way I was finishing this movie was just to see if these writers were actually following through with this film. The characters are amazingly boring, with a slight exception to the Mom. There are those moments after a character says their line and a there's an assumption, a flow that should come next, but instead they meander in what they just said. It was very strange to watch. It ended with me having a physical stomach ache because of the sheer awkwardness and odd behaviour demonstrated by the characters. Why I put myself through this, I don't know. :P
This is from a passionate movie goer's perspective, keep this in mind.

This movie was great for the youngsters!
Good acting, lots of funny moments and a fantastic script! The lovely Lauren Holly is wonderful, as always, as is the rest of the cast.
Sally Meyer seems to be an up and coming screenwriter that's destined for a bright future in the business.
It's just good, clean, fun for the whole family!
It's rated G, but don't let that fool you in to thinking it's only for the preschoolers. Infants to tweens all the way up to their parents will enjoy this gem!
Highly recommended!

This was a cute movie, and I agree with most of the other reviewers that it is nice to have a non-animated movie to watch with 'tweens.
But I really didn't like how completely white and very, very rich everyone was. I got the feeling that this is the world of the film makers and that they didn't even notice how out of touch they were with the real world. I don't think every movie has to have token minority actors, but for some reason this movie really felt unnaturally white to me. A perfect time to have had a little color might have been when the twins did their first matching in college. That last couple could have been more interesting; either one of them a person of color, or one of them in a wheel chair - something.
