Thank goodness there was a good story

Thank goodness for a good story about this state park around Borrego Springs. These paranormal shows do introduce a good amount of history, a bit of science, and a whole lot of mythical mystery. This takes place in a part of California that eschews street lights and other upward shining lights. This is to rid the area of light pollution for those that come to explore the night sky. With that, these people are getting to tell spooky stories truly in the dark, minus a few flashlights. As I am a big fan of this local In southern California just east of San Diego, so hearing the history is worth the 10 stars. I even bought a 2009 Kia Borrego, the only year it was made, because of my affinity for this area. With that, I refrain from watching other paranormal shows featuring Derek Hayes' narrative. I wonder how long this child in an adult's body practiced to come up with that fake Batman voice in the narration. You see him talking with his normal voice which in nothing like the narration voice. He's done this fake voice for so long that it has damaged his normal weany sounding voice. Buddy, just use your normal voice. This isn't a Chevrolet truck ad or a Marvel Movie ad. Using that voice doesn't make you sound intelligent. It doesn't make the paranormal seem more ominous. If you want to get more people drawn into your paranormal shows, just stop. Thank you to all the others who were involved in making this. I couldn't take an hour and a half of this little Batman voice.

    Wonderful Documentary

I've listened to Monsters Among Us podcast for many years because of Derek Hayes' unique style and the way he expresses his opinions on an paranormal experience soneone submitted. I felt that a documentary done by Derek Hayes and David Flora would be very engaging, thought provoking, educational and creepy. It was definitely all that!

It was also great to see Sapphire Sandalo and Ryan Sprague whose podcasts I also listen to, in the documentary.

This Derek Hayes and David Flora documentary felt like to me a hybrid of PBS Nova from the early 2000's and the original Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack.

I truly enjoyed watching this so much that I watched it three times in a row.

An on location podcast more than a documentary

Let set out my stall. I love a good high strangeness documentary. So much so, I bought a VPN just so I could watch in the USA, as its unavailable in the UK right now.

I came across reference to this show after watching an episode of Beyond Skinwalker Ranch. So I had expectations of an interesting documentary.

Instead I was met with an array of desert legends, with intermittent segways from the entertaining Ken Layne and less entertaining others. No interesting footage, just generic graphics at one point an image of British Typhoons is used to illustrate USA jets chasing a UFO in the desert; just sloppy. The odd ernest eye witnesses appear to swear this is all true but without even any atmospheric effect. The low point was the surprise that quartz struck together sparks - Triboluminescence. In the age of Google they couldn't even research it. Sandman, Bigfoot, Orbs, UFOs, UAPs and Spook Lights it's all going on in the Anza Borrego Triangle but the show just doesn't bring this to life.

Wait until it's on YouTube in a year and just listen while youre doing something else. It works better as a sound piece.
