J.J. Abrams (“The Force Awakens”) and showrunner Latoya Morgan’s (“Shameless”) new series “Duster” will debut May 15, with the first official trailer teasing an increasingly dangerous crime syndicate.

Starring Josh Holloway (“Lost”), Rachel Hilson and Keith David (“The Thing”), “Duster” is set in the 1970s Southwest as a getaway driver gets entangled in a crime network that is threatened by the arrival of a young agent in town. Hilson stars as the first Black female FBI agent.

“Duster” was produced in association with Warner Bros. Television, with the eight episodes dropping weekly through the finale on July 3. The first two episodes are written by Abrams and Morgan, with Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich executive producing for Bad Robot while Morgan executive produces for TinkerToy Productions.

Acorn TV has announced the titles that will be available on the AMC-owned streaming service in May 2024. The lineup adds to the service’s wide variety of acclaimed English and foreign-language dramas, engaging comedies, documentaries, and more.

The highlights include the third season of Acorn TV original Harry Wild, new episodes of The Brokenwood Mysteries Season 10, and the Acorn TV exclusive The Truth.

Fans are closer than ever to the release of Harry Wild Season 3, as the hit BBC series returns after more than six months off the air. 

The British crime drama follows Harriet "Harry" Wild, a literature professor who, after retirement (and following being the victim of a local crime), decides to take up sleuthing. She becomes a detective and solves crimes with the help of a teen mugger known as Fergus.

Season 3 was announced shortly after the end of Harry Wild's sophomore effort.

Acorn TV unveiled the first season three photo from Harry Wild starring Emmy winner Jane Seymour and announced a premiere date. The popular mystery series will kick off the new six-episode season on Monday, May 13, 2024 on Acorn and BBC America.

Seymour returns as executive producer and leads the cast as the titular character. Season three also stars Rohan Nedd as Fergus Reid, Samantha Mumba as Paula, Kevin Ryan as Charlie Wild, Amy Huberman as Orla Wild, Paul Tylak as Glenn Talbot, and Rose O’Neill as Lola Wild.

Exclusive: Acorn TV, the streaming service aimed at Anglophiles, is getting a new look.

Parent company AMC Networks is giving the streamer a brand refresh with a new logo and tagline ahead of the return of its originals slate. This comes as it prepares for the launch of season three of Harry Wild, the drama starring Jane Seymour.

The series will return to Acorn TV on May 13 and will have a co-premiere on AMC Networks-backed BBC America. The suits don’t want any Westerns, Jane Seymour says.

The actress said in an interview by The Messenger website that she recently pitched an idea for a Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman reboot.

“We’ve actually got one written, and we’ve got the whole series planned out,” Seymour said. “We just took it to one of the networks, and they said that they weren’t interested in Westerns.”

That’s even though Yellowstone and several other Taylor Sheridan stories have become giants.

“I think it’s really crazy,” she said. “There seems to be a lot of very successful Westerns, so I didn’t get that at all.”

Seymour was equally baffled by a follow-up idea, which presumably came from the same executive.

“It was pitched to me last night, believe it or not, to do Dr. Quinn as a contemporary piece,” Seymour said. “I’m going, ‘Why?’ The whole point of Dr.

If Jane Seymour has her way, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman will be making rounds again.

The titular star of the circa-’90s CBS procedural is looking to revive the series. In fact, the actress-producer tells The Messenger that the potential sequel series is already “written” and “planned out.”

Harry Wild is not going anywhere. Acorn TV has renewed the mystery series for a third season. Season two wrapped in early November.

Starring Jane Seymour, Rohan Need, and Kevin Ryan, the series follows the cases of literature professor turned private investigator Harriet “Harry” Wild (Seymour). Amy Huberman, Samantha Mumba, Paul Tylak, and Rose O'Neill round out the cast.

Six episodes have been ordered for season three, with production set in Dublin, Ireland. The series will return in 2024.
