The first 3 eps kept my attention, not sure how authentic it is but I like it so far. The lead actor is doing a good job, let's see where it goes! I disagree with all the negativity on here.
An entertaining and well-made adaptation of the life and times of Billy the Kid. The style is ruggedly realistic, wonderfully depicting the harsh unfairness of life. The beauty of the landscape is in stark contrast to the selfish exploitation by the 'haves' of the 'have-nots'.
Outstanding performances from Eileen O'Higgins, Jonah Collier and Tom Blyth, collectively portraying the close bond of a mother-son relationship.
The opening episode sets the scene brilliantly, despite a sluggish step. Subsequently the pace picks up, delivering a fascinating action-packed story with some fabulous dialogue and gorgeous cinematography. Highly recommended viewing.

Billy The Kid really puts into perspective that things aren't as black and white as they are portrayed. It begs the question: is Billy The Kid really a good person? Tom Blyth's performance as Billy The Kid really captures the essence of his character well. You can see just how remorseful Kid Antrim is for the things he's done. Daniel Webber and the guy who played Henry Antrim did a fantastic job at making me angry. It sucks that they left us on such a cliffhanger with the reintroduction of Pat Garrett and I'm so excited for the rest of season 2. A lot of people say that it fell short with the historical aspect of things and I agree there but all in all, it's an entertaining and intriguing show about the life of a famous outlaw, Billy The Kid.
I just finished Season 2 of Billy the Kid and was entertained throughout the entire series so far. This series takes a few episodes to really get going but once it did I binged right through it. So if you didn't enjoy the first couple episodes just stay with...it's worth it. I'm glad MGM+ renewed this because there is so much to Billy the Kid that one season wasn't enough. They could even go several more seasons with all the material on him that's out there. The actor who plays Billy is Tom Blyth and he gives one of the best Billy the Kid performances I've ever seen. Blyth also just starred in The Hunger Games prequel and has a very bright future in Hollywood. I have to admit that I'm a big fan of westerns so I'd probably enjoy this no matter what but it really is a solid show that I think most people will enjoy.
Billy The Kid is an MGM series that stars Tom Blyth as William Bonney about the early years and upbringing of an Irish boy who turns to be the infamous gunslinger. Michael Hirst co-wrote and created this series also was the person behind Vikings. The storyline is loosely based around the life and travels of Billy from Texas to New Mexico to Mexico. The first season ends up on a high note trapped between two rival merchants. Daniel Webber plays Jesse Evans who was Billy's best friend when they fist started out. This was a good old western with a great cast, I highly recommend it. Can't wait to see what the second season brings to the small screen.
