Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go is NOT the Thomas the Tank Engine kids of the 80s and 90s (or 00s) grew up with; this poorly done 'cartoon' is an overly bendy and cheap-looking nightmare that is a disgrace to Reverend Wilbert Awdry's Railway Series, and it looks even worse than old Flash animations.
The thing that worked with the original series (the seasons with models), is that the earlier ones had a sense of grounded yet simple stories and morales that weren't condescending to kids, and they were like visual storybooks. So why is this show brimming with condescension and leaning into the fact that there's nothing really transcendent or endearing here? I guess Mattel emphasised the toys moreso than the once endearing charm and character of the Steam Engines of Sodor.
I'm all for kids entertainment; sometimes it can appeal to ANYONE in ceaselessly easy ways, like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dexter's Lab, Gravity Falls, Ducktales (the 1980s one and/or the 2010s reboot), and even the early days of Doctor Who count; point being, regardless of medium, entertainment can STILL entertain and be genuinely appealing despite demographic limitations. All Engines Go wishes it could say the same thing for itself.
Basically, watch the original Ringo Starr and Michael Angelis narrated shows instead of this travesty. You'll thank me later.

It makes me cry seeing what this franchise went from. It is got dumber year by year. Rev must be slamming his head if he saw this degradation of his works.
Pretty bad
I have not seen anything Tomas related before and this was not a good introduction. It looks like every other show on the market nowadays. I will not be showing this to my kids and I will try to show them something of quality.
No, just no. This is a just terrible reboot. The worst I've ever seen. Too childish.
I saw All Engines Go when it came out on Cartoon Network and I do not like it for reasons. Thomas & Friends has always been a long time running British Show for years and still holds up the popularity to this day until this Separated American Show came along. The realism of Railway is so very low and cartoony in this then Thomas & Friends where it percent how real engines do and when they are driven by their Drivers and Firemens. The big number one question I have is, If they do that well off-track, why do they even need the tracks? And Annie & Clarabelle can literally move by themselves which is a huge shock. If All Engines Go is strictly made for 2- year olds, then I wanted to see Thomas & Friends return with CGI Series 25 in Future for all ages to enjoy T&F and for 2-3 year olds to enjoy AEG and they might like Thomas & Friends better when they get older, so both T&F and AEG would run and continue separately. But if only AEG runs and not T&F, then I would forget about this show.

- Quotes
Thomas (US): Oh-no. The ships need the lighthouse, so we can't switch our bulbs until tomorrow.
Diesel (US): If you can't switch the lightbulb, then we'll just have to switch where we have our dance party.
