I bought this on Amazon prime as I like James Nelson Joyce and thought the trailer looked interesting.

Decent gritty UK drama, obviously made on a small budget but the acting was top notch and the smaller budget just added to the gritty realism.

I'd say it was better than I expected it to be and would recommend it to those who enjoy a proper UK drama film.

Reputation is a solid, entertaining film that feels real throughout. The dialogue is natural and well acted, and the northern setting looks great on screen. It's dark and gritty but the banter adds humour, giving it shades of Shane Meadows' Dead Man's Shoes and Down Terrace by Ben Wheatley. Definitely worth watching.
