Series 2 so far couldn't be more different! This is actually really good! The Borg, Q, an actual sense of a Trek storyline. This is how it should have been from the start. Aside from a few characters who are a little annoying, I'm back on board with this series. Shame they haven't fixed Discovery yet. I hope it maintains this quality for the rest of the series!
Topped off with rapid, excellent writing and storytelling, good production, great acting and being true to Trek. Mistakes from season 1 seem to have been learned. I hope the rest of the season is this good.
Oh, and a true laugh out loud moment. The name 'Annika Seven Shots' will live forever!

- TriviaThere are multiple references to characters from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993). In Picard's hall of skulls are a Ferengi with a Grand Nagus staff (presumably Zek or Rom), Gul Dukat (a primary recurring villain) and General Martok (a major player in the Dominion War who took over the Klingon Empire near the end of the end of the series). There is also a reference to General Sisko, presumably Benjamin Sisko (the lead protagonist).
- GoofsRaffi tells Agnes that the transporter window she has opened in the palace shields will only remain open for 10 more seconds. Rios starts the beam-out 25 seconds later, and does not beam out the last of their party for nearly 40 seconds, well after the 10 second window should have closed.
- Quotes
Jean-Luc Picard: What is this?
Q: This? This is home.
Jean-Luc Picard: And where are the crew of the Stargazer?
Q: Oh, how quaint. How provincial. How yesterday's Enterprise of you. There is no Stargazer.
Jean-Luc Picard: What do you mean? What have you done?
Q: Show them a world of their own making and they ask you what you've done. So human of you.
Jean-Luc Picard: Q, have you had enough of playing games with other people's lives? I am no longer your pawn.
Q: Oh, you undersell yourself, Jean-Luc. You are more than just a piece. Why, you're the very board upon which this game in played.
Jean-Luc Picard: And I am too old for your *bullshit*!
Q: Old. Yes! How unfair time is. So many wrinkles. So many disappointments.
