    A powerful symbol of unity

Set against the chaos and violence of the 1947 Partition of India, Topi tells the story of a young Hindu boy on his way-alongside his mother-to board a train bound for a region more aligned with their religious affiliation. Along the way, he has a life-altering encounter with an elderly Muslim man that challenges his perspective in a profound and lasting way.

Topi isn't the boy's name, but rather refers to a religious prayer cap that plays an important role in this animated short film. I'm not sure if the story is based on real events, but it certainly could be. Even if fictional, it serves as a powerful reminder that, at the core, we are all human-regardless of our religion.

a boy, his mother in a train station

A story to feel. A train station. A boy and his mother, refugees from Pakistan to India, expecting their train. An old Muslim man and his topi. And the help of young Bir as seed for a moral duty . The help of the venerable man and the topi as testimony of virtues defining each of us. A great film because, like a drop , seems talking about a sea. The sea of dark past, about its people, about a not real fair political decision, about religious borders in soul. Short, profound useful. For not forgive, for not ignore..
