Frederic Chane-Son has created a small masterpiece with Les promesses de l'aube!

I am very, very happy to have just caught this movie last week at the NewFest LGBT Film Festival in New York. Director Frederic Chane-Son has written and directed and beautifully enigmatic and sexy short film.

The audience wonders who the characters are in relation to each other. The avoidance of obviousness is perfect for the pace of the film. The main actors are sexy and easy on the eyes.

Speaking of eyes, this film is directed with much style and artistry.

I look forward to more work from Frederic Chane-Son. He is a true artist! Bravo, Frederic! I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.

Trivia
Thomas Laroppe (Brodeuses (2004) by 'Eleonore Faucher') was first considered for the leading role of Ludovic but he happened not to be available for the shooting dates.

Goofs
In the last scene of the movie, when Ludovic goes and meets Marien again, you can see that he wears sneakers. Yet in the very last establishing shot, before the credits appear, Ludovic is barefoot.
