Stan Rogow, a veteran writer, producer and music manager who was a key player in such series as “Lizzie McGuire” and “Fame” and the 1986 feature “Clan of the Cave Bear, died Dec. 7 at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 75.

Rogow was most active in television, working on such notable series as “Playing for Time,” “Shannon’s Deal,” “Flight 29 Down,” “Darcy’s Wild Life,” “State of Grace,” “Valemont,” “Woke Up Dead,” and “Afterworld.” His other feature film credits include 1994’s “All I Want For Christmas” and “Men of War” and 2003’s “The Lizzie McGuire Movie.”

Rogow earned three Emmy nominations over his long career, one for the NBC series “Fame” in 1982 and in 2003 and 2004 for Disney Channel’s “Lizzie McGuire.”

The Amityville Curse seemed to bear a couple of its own curses. It’s an Amityville knockoff and after Amityville Cult, Amityville Thanksgiving, Amityville in the Hood, and so many more, it’s pretty much a guarantee of mediocrity. Secondly, it’s a Tubi Original, which usually carries a very similar guarantee.

But there were a couple of reasons to be hopeful as well. Director Éric Tessier may not be well known outside of Quebec but his adaptions of two of Patrick Senécal’s novels, 5150 Elm’s Way and more importantly, Sur le Seuil aka Evil Words, are both excellent. Dennis Heaton wrote the film, based on the novel by the late Hans Holzer. Heaton you may recall wrote the Billy Connolly zom-com Fido.

Just where do vampires go to learn how to deal with humans on a day-to-day basis? Can't exactly head down to the nearest etiquette class or check out a local finishing school. Vamps have to be a bit more creative. Thankfully they have Valemont... a place that teaches the undead how to deal with the not yet undead.

On Halloween 2011 Cambio.com is going to feature Valemont in feature-length format, meaning there will be plenty of fangs, blood and brooding for everyone in this story about the education of vampires. Since music videos basically don't exist anymore, MTV needs to find some programs to keep them afloat until "Beavis and Butt-Head" begin to dominate again. "Teen Wolf" is the first of those shows. Like always, Comic Con International is revealing the schedule of events day by day. It certainly makes planning a lot easier. But that's neither here nor there. There's a lot of panels to cover, so let's just get to it. Check out the pertinent film and television panels set for the first two days of the show after the jump.

We're less than two weeks away from the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, and convention organizers have finally released the schedule for the first day of programing. Comic-Con International has unleashed the full schedule for Wednesday and Thursday for the San Diego Comic-Con 2011, and there is going to be a ton of stuff to keep you incredibly busy and entertained.

Like I've been saying it's never to early to start planning, and there is a ton of stuff here that we are looking forward to checking out. I've gone through the list and put exclamation points next to all of the events that we are looking forward to attending. What panels and events are you looking forward to?

If past years are any indication, Comic-Con will begin releasing its official 2011 panel schedule later today (Wednesday) with the schedule for Preview Night, Wednesday, July 20. If that happens then we can expect them to follow suit for the rest of the days, so that Thursday will see the release of the Thursday of Con schedule, etc., through Sunday.

Once the official schedules are posted these “TV and Movie Panels and Screenings Updates” will be scaled back to just the date, time, title, and location, since the rest of the information and So Much More (including comics panels, autograph signings, etc.) will be available on the Comic-Con schedule link we’ll provide. Consider this, then, the last of the extremely long posts, and hopefully we’ll be getting that official schedule soon.

The second update but absolutely not the last. We have yet to hear from the major networks, Syfy, TNT or USA about their panels. More to the point, we have yet to hear from Comic-Con, at least as to the official schedule.

As you may know, they resold the returned 4-day passes on Friday, and those sold out within a couple of hours. It likely only took that long because only a certain number of people could be purchasing at one time. Returned one day tickets will go on sale shortly; if you’re interested in attempting to be amongst the lucky few who will achieve tickets, you must be following Comic-Con on Twitter for the latest updates

Woo Hoo! Comic-Con 2011 info is really starting to flow! As a veteran attendee, one of the most exciting things I’ve seen are the blurbs that come out on the official schedule, being released early by studios! First out of the gate for that appears to be from Warner Bros. Television Group. The panel blurbs, along with the dates, times, and room numbers, have been released in a statement. Holy hell yes! Here's a sneak peak at a web series coming our way this summer called Chopper and it stars Tyler Mane as the headless biker. We've seen this story told over and over again about the Headless Horseman but it hasn't been told this way with a headless biker. There are a lot of cool web series coming our way and this defintely looks like a good one! I told y'all way back that this type of media outlet would slowly replace TV.

NBC has the new J.J. Abrams ("Lost," "Alias") show on its fall schedule -- "Undercovers," an action spy thriller starring Boris Kodjoe ("Soul Food"), Gugu Mbatha-Raw ("Doctor Who"), Gerald McRaney ("Deadwood," "Jericho"), Jessica Parker Kennedy ("Valemont"), Carter MacIntyre ("American Heiress") and Ben Schwartz ("Mayne Street").

"Undercovers" follows the adventures of a retired husband and wife team suddenly thrust back into their former lives as CIA agents. The couple are Steven and Samantha Bloom, played by Kodjoe and Mbatha-Raw.

Joining J.J. Abrams as executive producers are Josh Reims ("Brothers & Sisters," "Dirty Sexy Money") and Bryan Burk, who has collaborated with Abrams on "Lost," "Alias" and the 2008 movie "Cloverfield."

The nominees for the 2010 Streamys were announced today. The Streamys celebrate online television programming and this year they have a fantastic line up of nominees. Last year was the Streamys debut year and the winners included high profile shows such as Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and the exceptional Battlestar Galactica web series The Face of the Enemy.

This year there is even more competition with some really interesting content now being released on the web rather than through more traditional media routes. Two of my favourites from this year’s nominee list are the excellent Interview Project which is presented by davidlynch.com and the slightly flawed but thoroughly enjoyable Angel of Death, created by Ed Brubaker and starring Zoe Bell, which also received a DVD release last year.

It's not exactly coincidence that today's launch of Sony's zombie comedy web seriesWoke Up Dead comes on the heels of the company's box-office-winning $25 million opening weekend for Zombieland.
