I saw this for the first time tonight on the LMN Network, and I thought it was an O. K. time waster.
As per usual, this was held in the "Lifetime Universe" were all sorts of weird situations happen, such as:
1. The wife's character being so naive as to do her husband's dirty work by paying the blackmailers.
2. The wife being accused of murder based on FLIMSY evidence. (Lifetime should consult with the HLN Network for some credibility).
3. The husband being so reprehensible - definitely a SCUMBAG!!
Note: There were several scenes depicting violence against women (including what appeared to be rapes), which I found disturbing,
6/10.

I actually felt so embarrassed for the actors. One of the 2 worst movies I've ever seen. I don't understand why actors get hired that are that pathetic with their trade. If these are the actors that they are hiring these days maybe I should get a job as an actor, and I have no clue what I'm doing. Please acting Guild, reach out and hire me. I have no talent and I will do the job for half the money or less, you tell me. If you guys continue to come up with movies like this in the future. I think we're in trouble, please fix the problem. In the meantime, I'll go back to better movie channels, thanks.
Rick is a successful writer married to June who is a budding writer but someone is blackmailing him and wants $50K in exchange for silence but why? Rick asks June to make the dropoff and she ends up finding the blackmailers already dead with herself as the prime suspect since Rick ends up framing her and she is charged with the deaths. But June has a plan to clear her name and discovers Rick has another life. Strong Canadian leads head up this cast. Highly recommended!
I've seen my fair share of silly Lifetime movies, so I didn't hesitate to lump this movie along with some of the silliest that I've ever seen. The movie had me intrigued in the beginning because I really wanted to see exactly how the scenario would be resolved. However, I was left feeling like an idiot for sticking around to finish it. It's not even a "so bad it's good" kind of Lifetime movie and those are some of my favorites! Long story short, both the protagonist and her sister make some the most dumbfounded decisions I've ever seen in a Lifetime flick. Definitely not worth a rewatch.
If this movie weren't so bad it might be laughable - but it's not even worth laughing at the laughable. I started watching it on the strength of Dan Payne as one of the cast. When wading through the plot became tedious I used mute and fast forward but even that wore thin. Give me some real plots to gnaw on- like Agatha Christie or Murder She Wrote. There's a good reason why her work has stood the test of time. Although a sometimes fan of Dan Payne, I just couldn't get through this production. A handsomely rugged presence that commands attention, if for no other reason than his stature, isn't enough to hold my attention in a very poor and unrewarding movie.
