Although the film was shot in the summer of 1999, the project was not completed until 2004 because of delays caused both by technical issues (resolved by the release of Final Cut Pro) and by Dave Reynolds' Ankylosing Spondilitis (a debilitating genetic disorder). Dave had his right hip replaced in 2002 and has since been able to continue making films.
